For 15 years, the owner has prided himself in striving to maintain the Company’s success with consistent ability to deliver moderately priced, great tasting, fresh cooked food while offering the highest possible standard of customer service. Taqueria El Zarape's Vision began 15 years ago in 1996. Our Vision is "To be the Leader in the Taco Industry" by satisfying our customers with our excellent quality food and excellent service.
All of our restaurants offer dine in or take out service and several feature drive thru service. A recent successful breakfast menu had been added and most locations are licensed to sell beer.
Our greatest achievement has been receiving satisfaction in generating employment for our people here in the Rio Grande Valley. Ever since opening our doors to the public in Edinburg on May 22, 1996 We have since continued to expand with success, and have the Honor of being named "Favorite Taqueria" by the Reader's who voted on The Monitor's Reader's Choice Award, for Eight (8) years in a row! Taqueria El Zarape now offers their great tasting specialty tacos at 9 locations in McAllen, Harlingen, Edinburg, Mission, Rio Grande City, Weslaco and Alamo.
