Tamarind Bay group of restaurants strives to present true Indian cooking to its clientele. Started in 2004, our objective was to introduce the people of Boston to authentic Indian food. And in opening Tamarind Bay – Indian Bistro & Bar, we believe we succeeded when we got highest rating in food category from Zagat in the US for any Indian restaurant and locally Boston Phoenix said “Finally, Boston has Indian food to rival London’s”.
India is a mix of many cultures, religions, foods and people. In 2008, we opened Tamarind Bay – Coastal Indian Kitchen in Brookline, a fine dining seafood restaurant, showcasing the fish, cocktails and foods from the coasts of India.
Tamarind Bay combines the knowledge, ambition and traditions of the owners BS Ajai Kumar and Vikas Kapoor and introduces guests to variation of Indian cuisine in a sophisticated yet intimate setting.
