Designed by Ward Northrup in 1973, the Summit Chase championship course plays at over 6,750 yards from the tips. Using his expertise as an architect, Mr. Northrup was able to craft a course that offers the perfect combination of challenges and scoring opportunities for any skill level. Playing to 3,424 yards, the front nine is a good place to warm up for your golf game. With an open, park-like feel, these first nine holes will give you a fun, challenging opportunity to bag some birdies before facing the back nine. The back nine at Summit Chase definitely requires that you bring your "A" game. Trees border narrow fairways and large expanses of exposed granite are seen on several holes. The tenth and eighteenth holes also play over water.
