Stumpy's House of Bar-B-Que was founded in 2004, offering the best hickory-smoked meats and fish in the area. Stumpy's is also known for its appetizers.
Kurt Enger and his wife Barb, along with their kids Krista and Annie, wanted to take St. Louis bar-b-que to the next level. Kurt developed all of Stumpy's dry rub and sauce recipes. The restaurant crews are made up of seasoned veterans of the restaurant business, led by general manager Matt Faust and catering manager George Duvenick (Groovy Duvy). All our hickory wood is hand picked from cousin Billy's farm.
