The cold bar features local mesclun greens along with fresh and prepared salad toppings and vegetables, such as roasted cauliflower, blanched broccoli, house made pickles, toasted nuts, olives, feta and cottage cheese, and house made salad dressings. Stone Soup's specials highlight our culinary style, usually featuring local farm meats. Fridays at lunch we serve half pound local beef burgers from La Platte Farm, with side salad and fries, and made to order by Zabby himself. Intermittently, we also serve our famous chopped chicken liver sandwich made with Misty Knoll chicken, our braised beef brisket made from La Platte beef, and a chopped salad with short rib steak.

House favorites include Zabby's chicken soup, La Platte Farm's beef stew, Elf's vegan chili, curried yellow split pea, harvest moon tomato, and tuscan red lentil.
At Stone Soup we bake everything in house from scratch and try to always have vegan and gluten-free baked goods as well. Two types of bread are available daily as free slices with all meals or as loaves to take home. We offer a rotating selection of breakfast pastries, quiche, and a delectable variety of cookies and sweets. Traditional Challah loaves are baked every Friday.

Everything From Scratch! Join our family for breakfast with a cup of coffee and a fresh scone or muffin. Our pastries are baked in our open kitchen everyday, along with breads and a cornucopia of cookies, sweet bars, seasonal fruit crisps, and other scrumptious sweets. Some are rich and indulgent, others vegan and gluten free. The morning music and atmosphere are soft and inviting and the cooking passionate and joyful.
