In 1984, confident that he had a great product, Steve Birger opened his first rib joint. Construction began at Halsted and Wrightwood in Chicago's near North side. Everything was in place, except for one key ingredient: Steve had no name for his restaurant. In 1994, Steve decided to move back home to South Florida. With the help of his original chef, Jimmy Naverette, the first Stevie B's Rib Cafe was opened in Weston in southwestern Broward County. A Location in Pembroke Pines soon followed. Stevie B's BBQ sauce recipe combines the hickory taste of the South with the traditional flavor of Chicago BBQ. Our Ribs are baked and then grilled to perfection on a charbroil grill.
