Boulevard/Cigar City Collaboration #5 Tropical Pale Ale
Boulevard/Cigar City United States, 7.2% ABV American Pale Ale, 55.0 IBU. Combining CCB's expertise with tropical fruit flavors and Boulevard's love of pale ales, Collaboration No. 5 Tropical Pale Ale begins with a base of soft pilsner malt layered with Maris Otter, Munich and caramel malts. Huge late hopping with a blend of Mosaic, Citra, Lemondrop and Azacca lends bright flavors of mango, pear, blueberry and citrus to a pale ale featuring slightly toasted biscuit and caramel/toffee notes. Infused with freshly sliced grapefruit at the conclusion of the boil, our tropical pale ale is briefly aged on passion fruit and grapefruit at the end of fermentation resulting in a refreshing acidity and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. At 7.3 ABV and 55 IBUs, Collaboration No. 5 Tropical Pale Ale finishes slightly tart with bright citrus character from dry-hopping with Lemondrop, Azacca and Pacific Jade hops.

Juli Goldenberg/Monkey Paw/Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale
Stone Brewing Co. Escondido, CA, 8.5% ABV Belgian Golden Strong Ale. 2015 marked the seventh year of our American Homebrewers Association-sanctioned Stone Homebrew Competition. Juli Goldenberg, this year's winner, added carrots, raisins, cinnamon and more to a Belgian-style golden strong ale to create a beer that is the liquid embodiment of carrot cake. As the name implies, this beer is richly aromatic and envelopes the palate with decadent flavors of cream cheese frosting, cinnamon, vanilla, carrots and raisins plus subtle malt sweetness, ending with a medium-dry finish. It's nothing short of brilliant and well deserving of the 24 karat (carrot?) golden opportunity to be brewed by Stone and distributed across the country.

The bigger body and higher alcohol balance the large volume of hops to create a beer that is very flavorful while still being balanced and drinkable. At 8.8 percent ABV the beer can be deceiving as it is very smooth.

STELLA PUBLIC HOUSE’s “farm to pizza” concept is centered on farm to table food practices and the development of strong partnerships with local growers, ranchers and purveyors. The star of STELLA‘s menu is artisan wood-fired pizza baked in an Italian Modena oven using oak and pecan wood. Shared plates, house-made cheeses, fresh salads and comfort foods made with locally-sourced ingredients are also found on the seasonal menu. Our beer list consists of 30 rotating taps showcasing craft beers from across the nation as well as an approachable, internationally-curated wine list.
