Kristofor Sandholm, head chef and owner, was born in Virginia in 1977. He was raised in Lehigh Township and attended Bethlehem Vo-Tech for three years concentrating on culinary arts. During this time, Kris started working for a local catering company, Family Summer Home, as a dishwasher. He graduated from Northampton High School in 1995. Immediately upon high school graduation, Kris attended The Florida Culinary Institute located in West Palm Beach, Florida; he graduated in December 1996.After culinary school, Kris returned to the Lehigh Valley where he worked in the industry for two years. He felt like he wanted to make a difference; Kris enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served for four years in the Infantry. He was Honorably Discharged and relocated to Vail, Colorado working in an upscale restaurant, Spendido at the Chateau. After one season in Colorado, Kris moved back to the Lehigh Valley and met his wife, Allison. He immediately started working at Starfish Brasserie in January 2004.
