Looking for a new career path?
Whether you are currently employed or unemployed, Springboard can help you fully explore your options and progress to the next level. For mid-career professionals, the opportunity to re-examine options can lead to a powerful reinvention. Our career coaching services lead you through a three-step process:
Exploration
Through coaching, we explore your skills, aptitudes and experience that point to your strengths and distinction. Together, we uncover market opportunities that align with your career direction and cultural, organizational "sweet spot."
Planning
Once we have identified your desired career destination, we create a set of objectives and goals, breaking them into achievable milestones. These goals may include things like skills upgrades, leadership and communications development as well as a creative approach to strategic networking.
Execution
Follow-through is the most critical element in the success of your transition. Springboard will be there to help you map out a course of action, ensure accountability, and navigate obstacles to success.
Starting a new job?
If you have just started in a new position at a senior level, Springboard's onboarding services will help you be strategic and purposeful in finding opportunities to assume leadership and make a stronger positive impact earlier in your new role. The first 90 days on the job are critical, and making a respected contribution within this time period is a key component to establishing credibility. Springboard places an emphasis on helping clients adapt to their new role and recognize that they may need to develop new strategies and approaches to management in order to succeed in a new role. Based on our proprietary POISE model (Prepare, Orient, Integrate, Strategize and Excel), our onboarding services take you through those first crucial months, with ongoing check-ins throughout the year. We focus on four essential areas most important to you in your new role:
Assimilating into company culture
Establishing connections across the organization
Aligning your objectives with the needs of the company
Helping you effectively navigate your new environment to fulfill your function
Organizations
Springboard Unlimited helps organizations guide the talent management cycle more effectively and support their employees in achieving their full potential. We work with mid- to top-level managers and executives in the publishing, advertising, entertainment, creative, government, legal and non-profit sectors, and our approach fits companies of almost every size, from compact start-ups to larger corporations. Our approach is based on encouraging resilience, flexibility, and agility in a rapidly evolving workplace. We help people understand the internal process of change, enabling them to stay on track by reconnecting with their core values and purpose. Springboard services cover a full spectrum, including onboarding, executive coaching, and outplacement.
Onboarding
Integrating new employees with customized onboarding support ensures a more productive, engaged, and stable workforce. We assess each company's unique needs and strengths before developing a tailored plan based on our proprietary POISE method (Prepare, Orient, Integrate, Strategize, Excel). Our focus is on four areas that pose the greatest challenge to new employees: assimilating into company culture, establishing connections across the organization, aligning their objectives with the needs of the company, and making the best use of the new environment to fulfill their function. The process fast-tracks employees to greater confidence and efficiency, so that they can make a positive and profitable contribution sooner.
Executive coaching
Nothing offers a better return on your investment than effectively supporting your best talent. As employees reach for the next level in their careers, leadership development provides an opportunity to identify key strengths, address areas for improvement, and set the groundwork for success. At Springboard, we help high-potential candidates build confidence, and achieve excellence by amplifying their inner resources and drawing on the strengths of those around them. A customized plan brings all areas of performance up to optimal levels, including strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, time management, and communications.
Outplacement
An effective outplacement process not only eases the transition for your outgoing employees, it dramatically enhances morale and productivity for those who stay on. Whether you need to support planned or unplanned transitions for members of your staff, Springboard excels at helping people transition successfully to a new phase in their careers. With services that cover the spectrum of talent management, Springboard is there to support your valued staff throughout the organizational life cycle. Find out how we can help you manage transitions and capitalize on your talent resources more effectively.
Appreciate to Create the Life You Want
As the calendar turns a page to a fresh new year
many people make resolutions or set goals – lose weight, exercise more, or cut back on a guilty pleasure. One week into 2014 and I suspect some have already abandoned them! Others have been disappointed too many times and resist the setting of objectives altogether.
Personally, I like setting goals for myself.
I find setting a direction and committing to action essential to my achieving results.
Whether you make resolutions
set goals or just make it up as you go, there is a simple process that can be useful for any of these choices.
The exercise directs us to highlight what has gone well
what has sparked our energy and how we can we carry forward those positives.
With the understanding that what we give energy to gets bigger, this process is intended to amplify what has gone well.
Plus, this does not have to feel like hard work.
The exploration of your past year can be enjoyable and completed with ease.
Review your 2013 calendar to jog your memory.
I bet you will be surprised at how many accomplishments you can write down.
My clients find it satisfying and validating.
While this can be part of an annual planning process
it can also be repeated through the year on a quarterly basis. My clients and I all get a boost of energy and a sharpened focus by regularly giving attention to what we want more of in our lives.
The exercise is to answer the questions listed below
At the core, this is an exercise rooted in positive psychology and specifically appreciative inquiry.
What were your 3 most important wins last year?
What were your 3 most energizing events/activities during the year?
What were your 3 greatest challenges throughout last year?
What did you learn from your wins and your energizers that you want to carry forward into next year?
What 3 things are you most grateful for during the past year?
