Founded in 1987, by Felix Rodriguez, at its original Rhode Island location, Narragansett Pier, Spain introduced the authentic traditional Spanish dining experience to Rhode Island and neighboring states. Spain quickly became famous for its Mediterranean inspired cuisine served in an elegant yet casual atmosphere. Spain moved to its present Cranston location in 1994, to provide easier access to its growing New England clientele. While continually maintaining its standards for authentic traditional flavors, preparation and presentation, Spain has adapted its menu to the taste of New England and vicinity through use of locally grown produce and fresh caught North Atlantic fish and seafood. All our fish, when possible, is purchased from local fisherman, mostly out of point Judith, the Boston and new Bedford markets. All our fish, meats and poultry are cut or filleted on premises. We at Spain are always looking for fresher and more sustainable products to keep up with environmental concerns, which is one of Felix's passions.
