This is a class introducing children to drawing and painting with basics on drawing techniques of sketching, shading, cross hatching, blending, erase away, using charcoal, pen and ink, soft pastel, also painting techniques of wet on wet, dry brushing, and texture overlapping using tempera and acrylic paint.

The attitude of a sketch is different from anything else...a way to catch a fleeting inspiration, or capture a bit of life in the moment, without the need for elaborate finishing and detail. Through sketching on location, we can experience a place in a very personal way.
Learn how to create abstract and figurative compositions. You will also learn how to use a brush in different ways. This painting course will take you through the basics of painting in acrylic and watercolor.
