What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is..... A complete medical system which is used to diagnose and treat disease, prevent illness and improve wellbeing. It is effective for physical, psychological and emotional problems. The medicine and art of inserting hair thin needles at specific points along pathways throughout the body to increase the quality of health. Practiced based on discerning a "pattern of disharmony" and treating accordingly.
How does Acupuncture work?
Acupuncture... Is a therapy which uses natural laws and energetics with the application of hair thin needles and pressure to specific "points" on the body. Releases endorphins from the brain which makes Acupuncture very effective in pain control. Affects the sugar cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, the functioning of the gastrointestinal system and the activity of the endocrine system. Works with the body, harmonizing and balancing energy. It improves circulation and allows the body to heal itself quickly and more complete.
What should you expect during an Acupuncture treatment?
You should expect... To feel a slight sensation, possibly a little pressure. To have a sense of relaxation, and possibly fall asleep. That only disposable needles are being used.
How many treatments are necessary?
Treatments... On average a treatment plan consists of 4-12 treatments. We will recommend a treatment plan for your specific needs. We do a full examination to asses a proper treatment plan for you.
