This comprehensive program of soft tissue therapy addresses posture, biomechanics, trigger points (hyper-irritable spots in muscle tissue which refer pain to other areas of the body), and nerve entrapment to help the body into a state of ease. Practitioners of this therapy look for the cause of soft tissue pain and dysfunction, by looking for twitch responses. They seek to restore muscle length and balance, reduce noxious input to the nervous system, and locate and release spasms and hyper tonicities in the tissues.

DeepTissue/Sports Massage
Used to release chronic patterns of muscle tension using slow strokes, direct pressure or friction directed with and against the grain of the muscles with fingers, thumbs, or elbow. Releases chronically tense tissue, breaks up adhesions and re-educates holding patterns that cause dysfunction/pain which break the pain-spasm-pain cycle. It is applied with greater pressure and to deeper layers of muscle than Swedish massage.

Will Insurance Cover this?
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
Massage treatments for pain management, injuries, illnesses, and stress related conditions are eligible for FSA pre-tax spending. We recommend asking for a prescription from your physician. Although not always necessary for FSA approval, a prescription ensures that your treatment will be considered therapeutic and medically necessary. We will provide receipts necessary for FSA submission.
Health Insurance
We do not directly bill insurance at this point in time. However, we will provide receipts for services to submit for third party insurance billing. We have been granted an NPI number. Each insurance plan is different, and we encourage clients to file for reimbursement. Even if your claim is declined, each submission increases insurance industry awareness of the medical necessity and proven benefits of receiving massage therapy.
