Skool Lunch got its start in 1982, when Jeanne Hansen, who "just likes to cook", formed a little company to bake and sell cookies from a mobile bakery created from a converted linen truck . Cookies were baked "fresh" (still the top priority) on the fly by her kids and sold throughout the Salt Lake valley. Soon, a "Cookie Wagon" store was established in the old ZCMI Center Mall. Jeanne's affinity for creating recipes and cooking grew the business into Skool Lunch; offering gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, and homemade soups, in addition to the cookies, muffins, breads and other delectable's made on-site.
Skool Lunch now consists of five restaurants and a large central kitchen. The second generation now carries on the recipes and traditions that identify Skool Lunch and sustains it as a favorite with our customers.
