Classes
Pilates Reformer
The Reformer is a traditional piece of equipment used in the Pilates Method. Classes are limited to six students, allowing for individualized work and instructor attention. The machines' springs support the larger muscle groups so that you can focus on elongating and building the small muscles that support your posture and overall health. We periodically offer a six-week series for beginners. Private sessions are available and can be geared toward other Pilates equipment, such as the Barrel or Chair, for tailored results. Mat Pilates/Possible Outdoor Classes Due to Covid-19
Mat Pilates uses your own body weight to bring out your inner strength. The practice, once known as "contrology," focuses on freedom of movement built on a strong core. It is adaptable to students of every level of physical ability and each class is led by a certified Pilates instructor. Classes occasionally incorporate a variety of studio props to create an even stronger core connection. Pricing Option: Studio Class.

Private Sessions
Privates instruction with Pilates is the most effective way to define and achieve your individual needs and goals. Instructors will provide you with challenging and varied lessons which will move you rapidly towards your goals and give you insight into your body's movement capabilities. A private session is both an initial evaluation and a great way to experience the studio and all we have to offer. Many students use privates, semi-privates, and classes in their exercise regimen.
Barre
Six Degrees Barre
Try our studio original! Six Degrees Barre touches on Endurance, Strength, Flexibility, and Restoration. This total body workout is intense but rewarding, using a variety of props to skillfully blend cardio, Pilates, balance work, and strength training into an invigorating hour of fast-paced movement and music. Modifications are offered for all levels of student, and trained instructors emphasize form over speed. No Barre Classes Currently Offered with The Transition.
Slow Burn Barre
Barre class is already notorious for isolating tiny muscle groups, strengthening our overlooked structural muscles to support all those big groups, from the quads and glutes to pecs and calves. Slow burn takes it to a new level, using your body weight to create resistance and repetition to turbo-charge strength training. Endurance and strength are hallmarks of this class, but we also enjoy an extra-long cool-down period, with lots of stretching and foam-rolling for myofascial release.
Six° Primal Strength
Six° Primal Strength
A weekly, hour-long workout and movement workshop, six° primal strength focuses on finding your body's natural alignment in traditional strength-building movements, building control, fluidity, and balance alongside muscle. Each week focuses on a specific type of low-impact movement, whether pushups and planks, squats, or other compound moves, to find your body's unique primal form. Expect to be supported and challenged in equal measure!
Asana Stretch
At Six Degrees, we focus on four aspects of physical and holistic wellness: Endurance, Strength, Flexibility, and Restoration. Asana Stretch Class is the most restorative movement in our studio. A practice meant to allow for moving meditation, assisted stretching, light massage, and centering within the body, Asana Stretch brings the benefits of yoga to each student's body through the experience and hands-on guidance of a confident, trained instructor and assistants. If we're talking about joints, this class is no-impact. If we're talking about stress reduction, flexibility, and rejuvenation, the impact is enormous.

Classes
Born in the Navy SEALs, the TRX bodyweight system develops strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability.
Each class can currently accommodate up to 12 students of any level, with particular focus paid to perfecting form so as to make each exercise safe and effective.
TRX uses suspension straps fastened to the ceiling
that let gravity and your own body weight help you find the optimal levels of resistance for your own unique body. This innovative fitness technique is used by the U.S. military, major league athletes, Olympic-level swimmers, cyclists, and runners, but is appropriate for all body types and fitness levels. Fitness shoes optional!
TRX/Foam Roller Fusion!
This fun and innovative class will teach you all the things you can do for your body with TRX straps and the Foam Rollerthe perfect balance! Enjoy 30 minutes of TRX to help develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability. The last 30 minutes of class, students will learn different massage techniques using the roller to help reduce tight muscles, body tension, and increase blood flow.
Private Sessions
In private sessions for one to two students,
our experienced instructors will help you to push beyond your perceived physical limitations and experience your body anew. Private sessions can be booked to fit your schedule and allow for one-on-one instruction to perfect form, increase stabilization, and tap into your deepest muscles.
SIX DEGREES is a movement studio in the heart of Uptown Minneapolis. We offer a variety of group classes—including Reformer and Mat Pilates, Six Degrees Barre, Six Degrees Strength, yoga, TRX, and Asana Stretch—as well as private and semi-private sessions. We are also a licensed teacher training center with regular training courses in Pilates and barre instruction. At SIX DEGREES, you will find Flexibility, Strength, Endurance, and Restoration.
