Cancellation Policy

Please note that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule your appointment, we will charge in full at the time of rescheduling within 24 hours of your appointment time. If you need to cancel your visit with us within 24 hours of the appointment time, the cancellation fee is half the price all reservations. All Prices subject to change.

This intimate space is perfect for a romantic getaway or a personal retreat. With it's suite-style setting and king size bed, House of Wind/the Loft sleeps two (2). Just yards away from world-class massage therapists and the Southeast's only outdoor hot tub retreat, the Loft provides you with the peaceful sleep you require and the rejuvenation you deserve.

Our newest accommodation, House of Earth, is nestled in the forests edge with floor to ceiling windows and an open, studio floor-plan. House of Earth has a private entrance, luxurious bathroom, state-of-the-art kitchenette, and sleeps up to six (6) people with a total of three (3) futons. Shoji Spa & Lodge is the Southeast's only outdoor hot tub retreat. Your stay includes one full hour in a private hot tub at our on-site spa, yards away from world-class massage therapists and House of Earth provides you with the peaceful sleep you require and the rejuvenation you deserve. House of Moon/the Studio has its own private entrance with stairs that lead to a spacious open floor-plan with living & dining room area, kitchenette and loft. A queen size bed in the loft and living room sofa opens up to a comfortable queen size futon, accommodating up to 4 guests. House of Moon/the Studio is lovely, gazing across the tree tops of the national forest. Newly renovated, beautiful & cozy.

Private Spa Pass
Room rate includes a Private Spa Pass for your party, per stay. A spa reservation is required, please contact the front desk schedule your reservation. Appointments are subject to availability.
Pet Policy
We have a NO pets policy. The fee for noncompliance with this policy is $50.00 per night per pet.
Cancellation Policy
Shoji has only three unique, upscale accommodations. Therefore, we charge for the full amount of your stay at the time of booking. If canceling 30 days or more prior to your stay, Shoji will provide a 100% refund. If canceling 15 to 29 days prior to your stay, Shoji will provide a 50% refund. If canceling or changing any portion of your lodging reservation after 15 days or anytime during your stay, Shoji will not be able to provide any reimbursement.
Children Policy
In order to preserve the serenity of Shoji Retreats, and to ensure the privacy and comfort of all our guests, we can only accommodate children over the age of 12. Thank you for understanding.

Shoji is an upscale, unpretentious destination spa nestled on a mountainside minutes from the vibrancy of downtown Asheville. Along with traditional Japanese bathing and soaking, guests enjoy elegant slate showers, luxurious spa products, and don a Japanese yukata (cotton robe) and sandals before retiring to their private hot tub in a natural wooded setting. Guest amenities include the dry cedar sauna and invigorating cold plunge for contrast therapy. The spa focuses on couple’s treatments, utilizing the skills of over twenty-five expert massage therapists.
