Priya Jain
Founder Priya Jain is a teacher of Kundalini Yoga, who has dedicated her life's work to educating people that the greatest (sweetest) gift they can give themselves is the gift of their breath. Starting Seventh Chakra Yoga was the manifestation of Priya's wish to awaken the understanding of yoga as a technology, for everyone as we enter into the Aquarian age. Priya's journey started after teaching Yoga at her son's school where she was spreading the word about practical benefits of yoga. It made her realize how ill- equipped the future generation is to handle the pressure of the age of technology and information that we live in today. Soon after she knew that starting Seventh Chakra Yoga was her true calling. To this day, Priya lives a simple, yet practical life not like the usual run of the mill yogini but as a truly enlightened householder. A Quote from Priya Spirituality is a state of mind. You don't need to leave this world to become enlightened. It's fun to play and experiment with your mind, body and spirit as you find a deep connection between the three. My job is to make everyone understand that simple truth. She completely embodies the qualities of her name, Priya, which in Sanskrit means "beloved one". In her practice, she brings practical aspects of science and spirituality to release the awareness within you to fully manifest your soul and the beauty that lies within. Ms. Jain, a certified public accountant, is a graduate of the Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Program at Yoga West in Beverly Hills, CA and is a certified to teach Kundalini Yoga through KRI (Kundalini Research Institute). Jain, who grew up in India and came to the United States 12 years ago, brought with her a deep knowledge gained from exposure to a myriad of cultures, religions, philosophies and yogic practices prevalent in the East. She truly believes that modern day stresses can be easily neutered by applying the practical wisdom of the ancient yogic sciences.
Japdhir Singh
Luis has been following the yogic spiritual path since 2005, and has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since gaining his yoga teaching certification from Yoga West LA in 2009. He was given the spiritual name of Japdhir Singh, which means the Lion of God who patiently, steadily repeats and meditates upon the Name of God. With raising his two beautiful daughters, Bella and Lola, and working as a paralegal full-time and teaching yoga, Japdhir is a total example of a house-holder Yogi. Our new class will emphasize in clearing the mind of stress, worries, troubles and made-up weaknesses in order to succeed and conquer the week to come. The ancient scientific techniques you will learn, will teach you how to keep your mind sharp and focused and keep your body healthy, maintaining your work week under YOUR control. The result being reduced stress, happiness and calmness at home, in your relationships, and in all your surroundings. Sunday's class is excellent for students of any level of any style of yoga and perfect for new students who have been searching for more conscious awareness. Join our conscious community for a taste of some physical yoga, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation. Take a little time to get ahead of time.

Marlene
Born and raised in the catholic tradition, Marlene is forever grateful to the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi who taught her from an early age the true meaning of servanthood and respect for all creation. Introduced to prayer and meditation during those early years, Marlene has been a longtime practitioner of Contemplative Meditation. Marlene was introduced to Kundalini Yoga and Meditation when a close friend sent her a DVD. Immediately hooked, she sought out yoga studios at the same time Seventh Chakra Yoga opened its doors, and she became one of the studios very first students! Certified through K.R.I. (Kundalini Research Institute), Marlene completed the nine month Teacher Training at her second yoga home, Yoga West Los Angeles. Also a Registered Nurse, Marlene's style on and off the mat encompasses the holistic approach integrating western and eastern modalities. Focusing on body, mind, and spirit, Marlene's strong belief is in empowering the "whole" person. Classes are both joyful and peaceful as Marlene utilizes the dynamic healing and transformative power of the sacred Gong. All level's of experience are welcome! Yoga and meditation is an extension of the above for him……focused and magnified! He draws powerful analogies from everyday experiences to bring a fresh perspective life and its relationships. He uses the power of Pranayama,Kundalini Yoga, Sound therapy of the Gong and Singing Bowls to bring your entire being in a state of harmony.
Ashley James
Ashley started practicing hatha yoga when she was 18 years old as a college course. 7 years of practice and the alignment of life has brought much patience and maturity to her personal practice as well as sparked a desire to share the tools of self-love and happiness with those open to receive. A firm advocate for peace and an affinity for The Beatles, Ashley's personal mantra, "Let Go and Let Be," has guided her through chaos. She hopes to encourage her students to do the same in letting go in order to allow the experience of life to be present. Ashley is fortunate to continue on with her journey in contribution to the community in turn, contributing positive energy to the world. Ashley's classes are Vinyasa based with great emphasis on proper alignment in order to build flexibility and strength on a healthy foundation. Classes incorporate yoga philosophy in remembrance and respect to the teachers, gurus, and philosophers who have come before us.

Cattien
Cattien was first introduced to Kundalini Yoga through her children's Kids Yoga class at Seventh Chakra Yoga and was immediately hooked. After taking only 3 classes in Kundalini Yoga herself, she signed up for the Teacher Training program at Seventh Chakra Yoga in August 2012. After a 10 month journey of teacher training, she was presented with the opportunity to serve the Kids Yoga class at Seventh Chakra Yoga. As a Kids Yoga teacher, Cattien is hoping to create a safe and loving environment for children to equip themselves with the tools and techniques of Yoga, Meditation, Visualizations, Sound Healing and Deep relaxation so they can grow strong in mind, body and spirit. She feels in today's technology driven world, such tools are not only essential but they are indispensible to keep the kids actively connected to themselves and to everyone else in their lives. Cattien is actively involved in volunteering services at her kid's school and in a symphony orchestra. Her passion is to help kids become more confident at school and centered at home. Cattien feels that since yoga has helped her and her children so tremendously in their daily lives, she is fully committed to facilitate that blossoming in the lives of all the children that walk into her class.

Emily Laine
Emily Laine began to hear the distinct calling toward her path in service through Yoga in her early 20?s when out of the blue, and without any prior knowledge of Eastern thought or practice, she began having urges to "do yoga", "learn Sanskrit", and "read sutras". At the time she was working at Borders book store and leading quite the opposite of a yogic life, but these urges led her to the Religion section where she had her first glimpse of Eastern thought through a book on Buddhism, The Buddha in Your Mirror. Reading about the concept that we are more than just the body, that there is more to life than just what we see on this earth, confirmed the vague questioning that had nagged her since childhood. When she finally stepped foot into her first yoga teacher training some years later and for the first time heard the chant of OM surrounding her, she knew that she had finally found her home.

Jennifer Perri (Lakshmi Voelker)
Lakshmi Voelker, a certified Hatha and Kundalini Yoga instructor KYT, E-RYT 500, YA, IAYT, has over 45 years in the fitness industry specializing in senior fitness and adaptive/disabled fitness. She created Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga in 1982. Creator of the DVD Get Fit WhereYou Sit and the CD Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, she has certified more than 900 teachers nationally and internationally, including health-care professionals at the Mayo Clinic and the New York City Department of Education. Chair Yoga takes into account the fact that everyone has a different level of flexibility (or range of motion). Therefore, Lakshmi adapts each pose to your personal needs. She has even accounted for varying degrees of flexibility in students' upper and lower body as well as their right and left sides. This innovative approach makes the chair yoga program suitable for all ages and all fitness levels. In addition to the postures and movements, these chair yoga classes are a more complete form of exercise than most because they emphasize breathing and Meditation. The deep breathing techniques more fully oxygenate your body and massage your organs. Meditation improves your energy and mental clarity while reducing pain and anxiety.
Kim Black
Kim originally found yoga as a way to help manage the stress and anxiety of law school. Not only did yoga help manage her stress, but it also liberated her from years of living in an internal prison of negative behaviors and mental patterns stuck in her mind and body. Yoga taught her to stop looking outside herself for fulfillment and to start looking within, because all the answers can be found in the movement of the breath inside the heart. She believes that yoga is the best tool anyone can use to heal themselves and is excited to share this sacred technology of Kundalini Yoga with her students. Kim completed her 200 hour Kundalini Teacher Training from Seventh Chakra Yoga. She loves cats, mantra music and shares tips on how to live a more blissful life on her website, www.modernbliss.org.
Anna Khatib
Yoga has been such an exciting exploration on and off the mat. It took Anna one class to really spark a deep curiosity with yoga and from that moment on she knew the practice of yoga was something to grow and expand with. Over the past six years of practicing and training, yoga has developed into much more than a "work out." What had initially drawn Anna to yoga over time became secondary. Her practice has grown into what she refers to as an authentic dance with breath and movement. Vinyasa broken down into the Sanskrit root meaning, "Vi" is translated as "in a special way" and "Nyasa" is translated as "to place." The practice of Vinyasa yoga is "to place" your mind on your breath, and your breath in your movement, ultimately making your internal state a "special place" for transformation and growth. Anna encourages students to "allow the breath to move you" and to keep in mind that yoga is less about postures and more about exploration with a smile.
