Executive Chef Gian Piero Mazzi's culinary career began in La Spezia, a small city in the Liguria Region of Italy. Although his parents wanted him to become a lawyer or doctor, his Mother's passion for food and good eating led him to school in Florence. After three years at the culinary institute of Giuseppe Casini, he visited Paris for an internship at Chez des Amis where he learned "how to live and survive in a kitchen".
