Deep Tissue Bodywork
Deep Tissue Bodywork focuses on releasing layers of chronic muscle tension in the muscles, tendons, and core layers of connective tissue. Benefits include: relief from physical stress and tension, improved circulation, greater range of motion, and increase in relaxation.
Cranial Sacral Therapy
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a soothing, powerful, hands-on therapy that balances and vitalizes the flow of Cerebrospinal Fluid, "The breath of life" through the head (Cranium), brain, Spinal Chord, and Central Nervous System. Somatic-Experiencing (SE), developed by Dr. Peter Levine, is a healing process that teaches your body how to organically release trauma, PTSD, and frozen energy in your system. Somatic Meditation, "Meditating-With-The-Body", is a collection of practices from the Tibetan Buddhist yoga tradition that utilize a lying down posture with specific breathe and awareness techniques to: still the mind, relax the body, and awaken the warmth, clarity, and wisdom at the core of our human being.

I have practiced bodywork professionally for nearly a decade, having accumulated more than 1,000 hours of bodywork training from premier schools including Esalen Institute and Mckinnon. In 2011, I received a degree in Somatic Psychology from Naropa University. Since then, I completed a three-year training in Somatic-Experiencing Trauma Therapy. I also completed a year-long counseling psychology certificate training with InterChange Counseling Institute. In 2015, I was elected to be a counseling skills teacher on the InterChange Leadership Team, I have devoted several thousands hours to the practice of meditation. My father, James Baraz, author of Awakening Joy, is a founding Buddhist teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation center. I am a dedicated practitioner of somatic meditation, and the "Natural Awareness" teachings of Tibet. My primary meditation teachers are Dr. Reggie Ray (dharmaocean.org) author of "Touching Enlightenment", Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche (gomdeusa.org), and Lama Drimed Norbu (esalen.org/person/lama-drimed). In the past decade, I spent almost a year of my life in retreat.
