Sam Wo has been in business for over one hundred years in San Francisco’s Chinatown. This tiny three story restaurant has been serving Chinese comfort food to a diverse community of both locals and travelers alike. During the 1950s, it was home to late night beat poets like Jack Kerouac. From the 1960s to the 1980s, Edsel Ford Fung (aka the world’s rudest waiter) taunted tourists and regulars, giving Herb Caen plenty of good material for his column. Today, this family-run business still makes its rice noodles fresh daily and offers it to our customers at reasonable price.
