Featured Vintage Champagne
Michel Gonet, "Les 3 Terroirs", Blanc de Blancs, Extra Brut, 2019
$152.00
Champagne is passion. On one hand it is a beverage that seamlessly represents celebration for many, and on the other is one of the most meticulously handled wine products on Earth. At Michel Gonet, the care goes from vineyard to cellar, from hand harvest to long lees aging. The result is a champagne of the highest quality and finesse. The "Les 3 Terroirs" cuvée highlights vineyards from the three villages of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Montgueux, and Vindey.

American White Wine
Featured Chardonnay
Soliste, "L'Age D'Or", Russian River Valley, 2015
$89.00
Burgundy born-and-raised, Claude Koeberle is considered one of the world's foremost experts in winemaking, and his wines never cease to disappoint. "Soliste" comes from the name that winemakers in Burgundy use for a special barrel reserved solely for family and friends. Most of their wines are made in what he calls the "MonoClone" style, using single clones from single sites and aged individually in a single cooperage. "L'Age D'Or" is a true expression of Soliste wines—exceptional vineyards, meticulous grape selection, and an elegant balance of acidity and aromatics to create wines of complexity and finesse.

Featured Sancerre
Domaine Vacheron, 2022
$158.00
The Vacheron family name in Sancerre is viticultural royalty. Three generations ago the family took over their first vineyards. As their family grew so did the pedigree of their bottlings. From humble beginnings by then patriarchs, Denis and Jean-Louis, the estate now boasts all biodynamic farming, hand harvests, and some of the finest vineyards in the appellation. It is not a wine trying to reinvent Sancerre, but to be an elevated version of the classic style.

Featured Chablis
Domaine Laroche, "Saint Martin", 2022
$102.00
Domaine Laroche is steeped in the history of Chablis. For more than 160 years, the Laroche family has been dedicated to producing top quality wines from the Chablis region. The domaine's headquarters, the Obédiencerie of Chablis, reveals a heritage dating back from the Middle Ages when the Canons of Saint Martin of Tours were making wine. The "Saint Martin" title pays tribute to a Roman cavalry officer who became a humble monk and was elected Bishop of Tours, eventually being named the patron saint of Chablis. The "Saint Martin" cuvée is the flagship wine of Domaine Laroche, a blend of the most beautiful estate plots in the appellation.

Valenciso is the lifelong dream of Luis Valentín and Carmen Enciso, coming to fruition in Rioja Alta in 1998. They set out to create modern interpretations of the classic Rioja style. Using Burgundy as a north star, the Viura and Garnacha Blanco are aged in new French oak barrels to develop a rounded and creamy texture. Sourced from 75-year-old vines at almost 2,000 feet above sea level, there is an aromatic freshness and precision to these carefully crafted wines that are sure to surprise and delight.

George, "Hansen", Russian River Valley, 2022
$144.00
George Levkoff has quite the impressive resume: a graduate degree from University of Chicago, a decade spent as a US bond trader, which he abruptly quit to start an internship at Williams Selyem in order to explore his true passion for wine. The best part? He is the least pretentious, most caring farmer you'll ever meet. He makes Pinot Noir that reads Burgundian on the nose and Sonoman on the palate, only makes three cuvées, and, even more incredibly, only makes 200 or fewer cases of each. Who better to create and personally bottle your Pinot Noir than the same person who cares for the vines year round?

Drew, "Faîte De Mer Farm-Radiolaria", Mendocino Ridge, 2021
This trio of "ants"—Webster Marquez, Anthony Filiberti and David Low—met in 2003 while working at Sonoma's Williams Selyem Winery. A year later they opened Anthill Farms with two unchanging goals: to make wines that express the growing site and the characteristics of the vintage, and, above all else, to make wines that, simply put, taste good. These goals require gentle handling from crushing to bottling, judicious use of oak, and, perhaps most importantly, leaving the wine alone as much as possible. Since 2004, they have grown from producing eight barrels of wine to working with eight distinct single vineyard sites, earning them Food & Wine Magazine's "Most Promising New Winery" in 2009.

Mending Wall, "Mortar and Stone", Napa Valley, 2021
$86.00
The name "Mending Wall" comes from the famous Robert Frost poem about two neighbors who meet once a year to examine the boundaries that separate them and that bring them together. The Mending Wall Winery is a multi-family endeavor, consisting of winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, along with proprietors Frank Dotzler of Outpost Wine, and Mark Pulido and Donna Walker from Pulido-Walker. The goal of this team was to build a winery around the spirit of wine itself: a place where wine is shared and enjoyed without pretension. This bottling of "Mortar & Stone" is not an exception to this philosophy, as fruit is sourced from one of the last dry farmed and head trained vineyards in the Napa Valley.

"Left Bank" Bordeaux
Featured Haut-Médoc
Château Belgrave, Haut-Médoc 5ème Cru, 2015
$162.00
Before the wines of the estate were world-renowned, Château Belgrave was a hunting lodge used by King Louis XIV–you can see this evoked in the artwork on the label. When an Englishman purchased the estate in the early 20th century, he renamed it after the London neighborhood he resided in: Belgravia. Situated on the outskirts of the St-Julien appellation, right down the street from other Grand Cru Classés Château Beychevelle and Château Lagrange, the wines are some of the finest produced in the Haut-Médoc each year. So committed are they to excellence that they are one of very few estates that have remained the same size since they were classified in 1855. A delicate, yet powerful balance of bright ripe fruit and rustic terroir, Château Belgrave's wines are quintessential expressions of the best "Left Bank" wines Bordeaux has to offer.

"Right Bank" Bordeaux
Featured Pomerol
Château Rouget, 2013
$96.00
Though its roots can be traced back to Roman times, Château Rouget made its first modern appearance in the 1700s as one of the finest producers in the tiny Pomerol appellation. While trading hands throughout the years, most of the fruit was sold to the Moueix family of the illustrious Château Petrus. The Labruyère family, of Burgundian and Champenoise fame, purchased the estate in 1992 and set out on a path of revitalization and modernization. They brought on viticultural wizard Michel Rolland and purchased more land, making them the largest landowner in the appellation. Characterized by finesse, structure, and elegance, the Rouget wines have emerged into the modern century as one of the most expressive producers of Merlot on the "Right Bank".

Featured Chassagne-Montrachet
Guy Amiot et Fils, "Vieilles Vignes", 2021
$181.00
In 1920, Arsène Amiot began acquiring parcels in Chassagne-Montrachet, including several premier crus and a few rows of "Le Montrachet." Under his direction, Domaine Amiot became one of the first to begin estate-bottling their production. Arsène's son, Pierre, took over in the 1930s and added more parcels, such as "Champgains", "Les Chaumes", and their parcel in Puligny-Montrachet, "Les Demoiselles." By the time Guy, the domaine's namesake, took over in 1985, the domaine had built up very impressive holdings and had passed the knowledge of how to best care for the vines down through generations. This continuity of care in the vineyards that led to solid consistency in the wines. In 1993, Guy's son, Thierry, took over and has been respecting the tradition and striving for improvement ever since.

Featured Nuits-St-Georges
Jean-Luc & Eric Burguet, "Symphonie", 2020 - $211
$211.00
Alain Burguet, father to Jean-Luc and Eric, started his domaine after returning from military service in the 1970s. As a young man, he helped older vigneron tend to their vines, and as they gradually retired, he was able to purchase many small parcels across the Côte de Nuits. He approached his vineyard management in this old-school way: plowing his vineyards with horses, allowing cover crops to grow, and encouraging a diverse ecosystem around his vines. His sons officially took over in 2011 and are the first ones with any formal winemaking education in the family, having worked in California at Au Bon Climat, as well as at Domaine Tempier in Provence. The Burguets are frequently among the last to harvest, often seven to ten days after their neighbors, resulting in wines with more finesse and velvety tannins. This wine is sourced from parcels planted in the early 1980s just to the east of the Route des Grands Crus, and is a great example of Burgundy that is forward-thinking with traditional roots.

No winery is more famous or produces such legendary wines in Burgundy as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The domaine has been co-owned by two families, the de Villaine's and the Roch's/Leroy's, since 1942. Aubert de Villaine, a humble, charming, and highly intelligent vigneron, who is acutely conscious of the history of the domaine and the responsibility he bears towards it, has been the manager and face of the domaine since 1991, when Lalou Bize-Leroy left to focus on her own domaine. Often abbreviated as "DRC", the winery makes some of the most exclusive wines in the world, and 98% of their vineyard holdings are in Grand Cru vineyards, including their two monopoles, "La Tâche" and "Romanée-Conti". DRC's wines, for those lucky enough to have tried them, are regarded as the pinnacle of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Domaine Le Petit Saint Vincent, "Les Poyeux", 2019
$137.00
Dominique Joseph, or "Pelo" as he is affectionately called by his friends, is the fourth generation to lead Domaine Le Petit Saint Vincent. Pelo's friendly, direct approach is reflected in his wines and the improvements he has made at the estate, such as converting to organic viticulture and separating out his top parcels for single-vineyard wines. His wines are transparent expressions of the magic that happens when well-farmed Cabernet Franc vines flourish in clay, limestone, tuffeau, or, in the case of this featured wine, sand.

Featured Côte-Rôtie
Lionel Faury, "Les 3 Brunes", 2021
$191.00
The Faury family lived very humbly as farmers around the wine-growing region of Côte-Rôtie–they sold fruit, mostly peaches and cherries, and a little wine to the local clientele. It was Phillipe, taking charge in 1976, who had the vision and drive to introduce the world to the family's wine. He expanded slowly, entrenching in his son Lionel this drive for precision and beauty. Lionel took over formally in 2006 and has continued to improve upon the foundation set for him. Things are still done the old-fashioned way: minimal use of new oak, and punchdowns by foot, allowing for gentle extraction and beautiful finesse. The family has plantings dating back to the 1930s, and the "3 Brunes" cuvee comes from select parcels within the famous Côte Brune lieu-dit. Co-fermented with a touch of the white Viognier, this floral, exuberant, sophisticated bottling is a perfect compliment for all savory fare.

Featured Crozes-Hermitage
Alain Graillot, 2020
$122.00
In France's Rhône Valley, there are few names as revered as Graillot. It was in 1985 that the late, legendary Alain Graillot, who after working with the venerable Jacques Seysses at Domaine Dujac, came back to his home in Crozes-Hermitage to start his own domaine. With each passing year, his devotion to the art of making hauntingly delicious Syrah from his organically farmed, stone-laden vineyards, was rewarded with an ever growing and highly dedicated following around the world. Alain's sons, Maxime and Antoine, have been in charge since 2008, continuing the legacy set forth by their father. All the work is still completely the same as it always was: hand-harvested, organic farming, whole-cluster fermented grapes, and aging the wines primarily in one-to-three year-old barrels.

The Wines of Jean-Louis Chave
If there were a name synonymous with the hill of Hermitage, it would be that of Jean-Louis Chave. The family began making wine in 1481, passing down wisdom through generations to create some of the most perfectly balanced wines available. Traditionalist to the core, the key to the perfect balance of his wines is the remarkable blending skill. This creates wines of great nuance, harmony, depth, and aging potential.

Southern Rhône & Other French Red Wine
Featured Gigondas
Domaine Santa Duc, "Aux Lieux-Dits", 2020
$121.00
Though it has been making wine since 1874, Domaine Santa Duc has their sights on the future. Coming into the spotlight in 1985 as a pioneer of organic viticulture, Benjamin Gras has now taken the reins and is continuing to innovate with biodynamic practices and a new winery to boot. Sourced from eight different parcels, the "Aux Lieux Dits" cuvée is predominantly made of Grenache from older vines and aged for 18 months in large, old Stockinger oak barrels. Finessed, elegant, with density and power, these wines are some of finest from these "baby Châteauneuf-du-Papes."

Barolo
Featured Barolo Riserva
Bergadano, "Sarmassa", 2018
$131.00
Founded in 1974, the Bergadano family has always placed an emphasis on quality over quantity at their small two-and-a-half hectare estate. With annual production rarely exceeding 1000 cases, this is a true "insider's" Barolo. The flagship Barolo Riserva "Sarmassa" comes from the eponymous Barolo commune in the heart of the DOCG. Aromatic and finessed, the 2018 vintage provides a snapshot of the best Nebbiolo offers through the lens of one of the region's most underrated stewards.

Barbaresco
Featured Barbaresco
Carlo Giacosa, "Montefico", 2017
$139.00
The Carlo Giacosa winery farms five hectares of vineyards in Barbaresco and has been run by the Giacosa family for four generations. Donato Giacosa founded the winery and helped shape the very hills of Barbaresco. Carlo, together with his wife, Carla, continued the family tradition, further developing the winery, and cultivating his roots along with those of his vines. Now it is Maria Grazia's turn, the latest Giacosa to run the estate. She works alongside her father and her son, Luca. The care that they lavish on their wines is what exalts the perfumes and the flavors in the glass.

Chianti & Brunello di Montalcino
Featured Brunello di Montalcino
Franco Pacenti, 2016
$156.00
The Pacenti family moved to the town of Montalcino at the beginning of the last century making a living as sharecroppers. In the 1960s, Rosildo Pacenti, convinced of his homeland's potential to produce world-class Sangiovese, purchased the Canalicchio farm in the northern half of the village and became one of the 25 original founders of the Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino. His son Franco took the reins in 1988, restoring the historic cellar below the old family farm and replanted vines across an additional 10 hectares of land. As Franco's children, the third generation of the winery, join him in the field and cellar, the wines continue to be rooted in tradition with an eye toward the future.

Super Tuscans
Featured "Super Tuscan"
Tenuta Le Colonne, Bolgheri, 2020
$97.00
Bolgheri is a strong, vigorous territory. A place where international varietals express themselves with great impetus and where the first bottle associated with the "Super Tuscan" movement was produced. Tenuta Le Colonne is located in Donoratico in the southernmost part of the Bolgheri appellation. For their Bolgheri Rosso, Tenuta Le Colonne focuses on Bordeaux varietals, in particular, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The estate is located in a strategic position, being the winery with the vineyards closest to the sea in the entire denomination. The sea exerts a mitigating action on the climate, increasing light exposure and generating a soft breeze that blows constantly between the rows. Everything here comes from the sea and tells of the sea.

Veneto & Other Italian Red Wine
Featured Sicilian Red
Etna Rosso, Benanti, 2021
$83.00
Etna is unlike many other wine producing regions in the world. Most notably the home of Europe's highest active volcano, Mt. Etna, one would not consider this to be an ideal place to grow grapes—dangerously steep, rocky soils, unpredictable weather, and the threat of volcanic eruption at any point. Very few are up for the challenge of making wine under such extreme circumstances. The work of these daring vintners with the region's indigenous Nerello Mascalese grape result in wines with energetic fruit, smoky aromas, with an elegant structure, making Etna Rosso the next big thing for Burgundy and Piedmont lovers alike.

Don Luciano Murrieta made his first wine in Rioja Alta in 1852, drawing on techniques he had learned while studying in Bordeaux. He was one of the first winemakers in Rioja to ship his wines abroad, shining a spotlight on a truly beautiful place in northern Spain. Adhering to "traditional" winemaking techniques, all of Murrieta's wines are aged in American oak barrels, all hand harvested and sourced from the vineyards outside the Castillo ("castle") de Ygay that was purchased in 1872. Considered part of "Rioja's Aristocracy," winemaker María Vargas continues to create wines of balance, complexity, and harmony that delight and inspire drinkers from all points of view.

Featured Argentinian Malbec
Luca, Paraje Altamira, 2021
$95.00
The Catena family has been the face of Argentinian wine in the 20th century and beyond. Luca was founded in 1999 by Dr. Laura Catena, a fourth generation vintner, who joined her father's winery in 1995 after graduating magna cum laude from Harvard and earning her M.D. from Stanford. Shortly after, she founded the Catena Institute of Wine with the goal of carrying on her father, Nicolás', vision to put Argentinian Malbec in the same conversation as the best wines in the world.

George Skouras is the pioneer of modern quality winemaking in Greece. As a young man, he studied viticulture in Burgundy, and subsequently worked harvests in Alsace, Champagne, Beaujolais, and Piedmont. He returned to his home village of Argos on the Peloponnese armed with the tools to revolutionize the wine scene. He crafted his first vintages in 1986 and is still the benchmark of quality viticulture in Greece. "Synoro", Skouras' blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and the native Agiorgitiko, is a play on the "Right Bank" wines of Bordeaux. With some time in the bottle, the flavors and textures integrate to a sumptuous expression of some of the finest wine Greece has to offer.
Villa Calcinaia, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico, 2011
$168.00
This Tuscan estate has been home to the Capponi family since 1524. Villa Calcinaia is located in the center of the Chianti Classico region, around the town of Greve-in-Chianti, where brothers Sebastiano and Niccolo continue the family tradition to this day. Local grapes Malvasia, Trebbiano, and Colorino are hand-harvested late in the season and are dried in airing chambers until well into March, allowing the grapes to raisinate. They are fermented together and aged in small caratelli barrels, exposed to drastic shifts in temperature for seven or eight years to encourage sugar degradation and concentration of the wine. These supple, delicious wines are some of the finest dessert beverages in the world, a perfect parting sip at the end of a meal.

Featured Half Bottle of Rioja Reserva
R. López de Heredia, "Tondonia", 2010
$92.00
There are few wineries in Spain, or in the world, whose name conjures the heritage and prestige evoked by R. López de Heredia. Little about this winery has changed since its founding in 1877 by Don Rafael López de Heredia. The winery still occupies the same historic cellars and is owned—and every detail of its operation is handled—by the family who founded it. Most importantly, the family owns every inch of the vineyards that supply their wines: for López de Heredia, tradition and conviction are life-long attitudes.

Pierre Péters, "Cuvée Reserve", NV
$374.00
Camille Péters, around 1919, was one of the first growers of the Champagne region to decide to bottle wine under his own name. In 1932, at the ripe age of 12, Pierre Péters, the eldest son of Camille, began to attend his first exhibitions alone and develop sales for his father's brand, and never looked back. He took over operations in 1944, and released his first vintage in 1946 under the "Pierre Péters" brand. The estate, now run by Rodolphe Péters, owns just over 19 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards, all of which are primarily located in the Côte des Blancs, where the soils are chalky and Chardonnay is king. Their flagship Champagne, the "Cuvée de Réserve", is made entirely Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes.
