Featured Amari Cocktail
Amaro Daiquiri
$14.00
El Dorado 5yr Rum, Caffo "Vecchio Amaro del Capo", Lime. Though the split-based daiquiri has no documented origin, it's a well known call from bartenders and a launching point for so many modern cocktail riffs: tequila & mezcal margaritas, gin & cordial gimlets, etc. Our signature features a Calabrian amaro in Caffo paired with a 5yr aged rum, but you don't have to stick to our recipe, pick your own amaro, fernet or apertivo and pick your own adventure. Just don't be surprised if we steal your idea
Paper Plane
$15.00
Rittenhouse Rye, Amaro Nonino "Quintessentia", Aperol, Lemon. Invented by Sam Ross (creator of the Penicillin), this citrus forward cocktail features a pair of Italian liqueurs, which lend it sweetness as well as a complex bitterness to balance out the sugar. Sam was listening to MIA's "Paper Planes" when he was making this cocktail, presumably rocking out, as one does

Old Forester Signature, Grapefruit, Ginger, Lemon. Invented in 2012 by the original RPM Italian in Chicago, this cocktail derives its name both from the Black Keys' song and the slang term...look it up. What it boils down to is a flavorful yet potent cocktail bound to sneak up on you. Probably why it's the favorite of Massimo Vicidomini, our Executive Chef

Knob Creek Rye, Pierre-Ferrand "1840", Benedictine, Punt e Mes, Angostura, Peychaud's. 19th century New Orleans, Hotel Monteleon. First appears in print in 1887. Three classic French elements in this cocktail; Cognac, Peychaud Bitters, and Benedictine, paying homage to New Orleans French influence, it's named for the French Quarter aka Vieux Carre (it translates to "old square"). Prime example of an intricate aromatic cocktail that varies greatly when you select certain elements differently

Penicillin
$14.00
Famous Grouse, Honey, Ginger, Lemon, Laphroaig Mist. 2005, Milk & Honey. Many people turn to honey and ginger (and whiskey) as remedies for colds and such, this cocktail rounds up all 3. A cocktail created in this small bar in Manhattan's Lower East Side has spread like wildfire all over the country and world, springing up on cocktail menus everywhere. This is the definition of a modern classic cocktail
Bobby Burns
$18.00
Springbank 10 Years, Cocchi Torino, Benedictine, Angostura. Another Scotch aromatic cocktail, this one named after the famous Scottish poet. Origins are not exactly known, but was mentioned in Harry Craddock's "The Savoy Cocktail Book" around 1930. There was also mention of a similar cocktail coming from the Waldorf Astoria in NYC

Hemingway Daiquiri
$14.00
El Dorado 3 Years, Luxardo Maraschino, Grapefruit, Lime. Ernest Hemingway had an impact on drinking in a variety of ways. He had many inspiring quotes – "If you want to know about a culture, spend a night in its bars." He is legendary for his appreciation of a good drink. He would write cocktails into his books, or brag about putting down 12 Papa Dobles (which are doubles) in one sitting at the bar he helped make famous, El Floridita, in Cuba in the 1930s and 40s. The omission of sugar in his daiquiri was meant to help prevent diabetic episodes, which is where the natural sweetness of grapefruit and the sweeter maraschino come into play. Our adaptation is great for people that don't want "sweet" cocktails
Ivy City "Barrel Rested" Gin, Luxardo Maraschino, Chartreuse "Vert", Lime. Developed at the Detroit Athletic Club in the 1920s, though it didn't really become popular until 1951 when it was published in "Bottoms Up" Great "3/4 all around" cocktail. Balanced between sweet and sour, herbaceous and slightly complex

Bolgheri Sassicaia, Tenuta San Guido, "Sassicaia", 2019
$368.00
1968 was the inaugural vintage of the original "Super Tuscan" wine: "Sassicaia", an homage to the rocky place where Cabernet Sauvignon vines were first planted in Bolgheri. This premium wine, made with grapes foreign to Tuscany, could only be labeled as "Vino da Tavola" (table wine) until their popularity inspired a revolution of the modern Italian wine-making laws near the turn of the 21st century. "Sassicaia" stands tall today as one of the greatest and most influential wines of the world... Bin 1724

Ca' del Bosco, "Cuvée Prestige", Brut, NV

Champagne has a rival-- the Italian sparkling wine zone Franciacorta. Not just following, but enforcing even stricter laws than Champagne, Franciacorta proves itself an apt competitor in the contest of the world's greatest sparkling wines. Using Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, and Chardonnay, the region remains relatively obscure, awarding its followers with great value. Ca' del Bosco has been a leader in Franciacorta production and consistently represents quality and pride for these great Lombardian wines. Bin 0011

When not in the mood for shaken martinis, a bottle of Bollinger is always the right move. Founded in the village of Aÿ in 1829, "Bolly" stands tall as one of the greatest Champagne houses still family run and operated to this day. This "Special Cuvée" is produced from Grand Cru vineyards and is fermented in oak creating a richly-powerful and sophisticated style fit for 007 himself. "Bollinger? If it's a '69, you were expecting me." -James Bond - Moonraker, 1979 Bin *007

Featured Vintage Champagne
Brut, Louis Roederer, "Cristal", 2007
$697.00
June 7th, 1867, Paris - It was on this historic night at Café Anglais where the famous Dîner de Trois Empereurs or "Three Emperors Dinner" took place--an event many consider the most decadent gastronomic affair ever to occur involving 16 courses paired with the world's greatest fine wines. Amongst 1847 Châteaux Marguax, 1848 Châteaux Lafite, and Madeira from the 1700s it was the inaugural debut of Louis Roederer's masterpiece: "Cristal" that stole the show. In keeping with tradition, "Cristal" Champagne is released only in the most special years and continues to shine above many of the tête de cuvées to this day. A precise blend favoring Pinot Noir along with Chardonnay grapes coming from organically farmed vineyards, "Cristal" should never be taken lightly and is best enjoyed over life's most treasured occasions. Featured Piedmont White
Timorasso, Colli Tortonesi, La Colombera, "Derthona", 2022
$69.00
From vines nearly lost among the sea of peach and apricot trees and forests of chestnuts ridden with white truffles, Timorasso has risen to become one of Italy's most noble varieties in the 21st century. Since 2000, winemaker Elisa Semino has been a key figure in leading the grape's Renaissance, being locally named the "Queen of Timorasso". Conjuring the je ne sais quoi of Burgundy, a rich mid-palate à la Chenin Blanc, with the exotic perfumed notes of Viognier, Elisa's expression of Derthona displays notes of white peach, tangerine, alpine mountain herbs, and almond flowers finishing with a salty minerality which will have you begging for another sip or bottle... For more than two millennia, the wines from Orvieto have been valued, but modern negligence and the desire for quantity over quality have damaged its once enviable image. We are blessed to have heroes like Giovanni Dubini, owner of Palazzone, who will never accept defeat and gifts us wines of elegance, complexity, and distinction. In the wise words of Giovanni, "If Luca Signorelli (famed renaissance artist) had in his contract both gold and Orvieto wine to paint the fresco of the Last Judgement in the cathedral of Orvieto in the 1500s, it tells you something." His Campo del Guardiano delivers sour green melon with honeyed florals and sweet almonds, finishing with lime zest under an air of tropical florals. (Bin 301)

The name Evrò is an homage to Queen Bianca of Navarra, who served as regent during the minor years of her son William II and as queen consort of the King of Sicily during the reign of William I (1154-1166). The blue label conjures up images of both the queen's "blue blood" and the wine's freshness. The platinum capsule encircles the bottle's head like her priceless crown. Comprised of only organically farmed Insolia grapes from Alcamo's estate vineyards this elegant bottling displays a bouquet of apricot, pear, and citrus fruit with hints of beeswax and white flowers. The Evrò finishes with a round richness and a salted honey delight worthy of a Queen's palate. Bin 0410

Allstar winemaker, Drew Voit, is more concerned with showcasing the terroir of a particular vineyard rather than his overarching technique. Acting as a consultant winemaker for more than a dozen top estates in the Willamette Valley, Harper Voit is his own passion project. His bottling of the 2022 "Surlie" Pinot Blanc is like no other. Round and voluptuous from barrel fermentation, while lending notes of crisp green apple and lemon wafer-- hallmarks of the Bieze Vineyard in the Eola Amity Hills AVA. Bin 0506

American Chardonnay
Featured Chardonnay
Mount Eden, "Wolff", Edna Valley, 2020
$101.00
The history of California wine cannot be told without the famed estate, Mount Eden. Since the early 1900's vines have overlooked the Santa Clara Valley thanks to two American viticultural pioneers, Paul Masson and Peter Martin Ray. They are accredited with planting some of the first Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vine cuttings from Burgundy in California. Today California's newest trailblazers have set their eyes on expanding one of its most promising regions, the Edna Valley. In the bucolic Edna Valley lies the Wolff Vineyard planted to Chardonnay vines dating back to 1976. These old vines result in an expression that exudes lemon blossom, lime balm, and honeysuckle with a tightly woven palate of pear flesh spiked by grapefruit zest and tangerine peel to finish. Piedmont Red
Featured Barbera d'Alba
G.B. Burlotto, "Aves", 2022
$128.00
G.B. Burlotto, a renowned winemaker from 1850 to 1927, achieved remarkable success comparable to that of the great Biondi-Sandi Estate in a world dominated by French wines. His pioneering approach of selling Barolo in bottles, ahead of Giacomo Conterno's Barolo "Monfortino", showcased his innovative spirit. Being the official supplier to the Royal House of Savoy, he not only gained personal fame but also elevated Verduno's status, placing it on par with La Morra. However, G.B.'s passing in 1927 marked a decline for Burlotto in Verduno. Fortunately, thanks to the exceptional winemaking skills of G.B.'s great-great-grandson, Fabio Alessandria, Burlotto is experiencing a resurgence and reclaiming its position as one of Piedmont's most sought-after small producers. Gattinara, Cantina Sociale di Gattinara, 2014
$128.00
Winemaking in Gattinara dates back to Roman times and its wines have been sought after since the 1700's, well before the wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. Since 1908, Cantina Sociale di Gattinara has provided an opportunity for the small families of the Alto Piemonte to follow their passion in producing high-quality Nebbiolo. Today, you'll find forty families residing over fifteen hectares of vine. The amalgamation of fierce alpine winds, volcanic soils, and the region's unwavering zeal of vignerons results in a uniquely pleasurable drinking experience, often challenging some of the greatest Barolo. RPM Presents: "Le Menzioni" del Barolo
In 2010 the Barolo region was officially demarcated and recognized for its 181 "Menzioni" (think "Premier Cru" and "Grand Cru" classifications in France). These designations celebrate the soulfully expressive characteristics of each site's diverse soils, varying altitudes, and unique grape growing typicity. Outside of the Cote de Nuits in Burgundy, there is perhaps no other region that is studied and dissected in greater detail than the zone of Barolo. We are excited to highlight these "terroir-driven" wines from some of the greatest producers and vintages.
Barolo Riserva is the crown jewel of Italy. A rarity made by select producers in only the best of vintages, one doesn't need to wait for a special occasion to pull the cork-- the act of opening a bottle in itself becomes the celebratory event. Requiring over five years of aging before release, this Barolo Riserva offers layers of flavor that transcend what you might find in any other wine. Bin 2275

Produttori del Barbaresco, 2019
$116.00
Communal wineries in the modern era have never risen to a level of excellence, with the exception of one. Produttori del Barbaresco returns to a time when no Barbaresco producer owned enough land - or equipment to make its own wine. Instead they banded together, compiling the fruits of their labor, to make the single best wine possible. The tradition has continued for decades, and will hopefully continue for decades to come. Featured "Le Menzioni" Del Barabresco
Montefico, La Ca' Növa, "Bric Mentina", 2018
As you approach the village of Barbaresco, you'll find the Rocca family's 18th-century "La Ca' Növa" estate perched atop the renowned Montestefano vineyard—a place untouched by time with untold beauty. In recent years their Barbarescos have reached new heights surpassing some of the most esteemed estates in the eyes of many. Their Montefico bottling is sourced from a special parcel called Vigna Bric Mentina, which lies at the best part: the top of the sloping vineyard, facing south where the grapes receive the most sunlight. Their Montefico expresses rose petals, lavender, spice, crunchy dark berries, and a minty essence, a hallmark of the cru.

Featured "Le Menzioni" del Barbaresco Riserva
Bric Micca, Cocito, "Baluchin", 2013
$172.00
Ezio Cocito is a man of many passions, but two stand out above the rest: horses and crafting exquisite Barbaresco wine. A close friend of Georgio Rivetti, the mastermind behind the renowned Barbaresco estate "La Spinetta", Ezio shares Rivetti's unwavering commitment to small production and modern winemaking techniques, resulting in richly flavored Nebbiolo wines with full-bodied styles. Cocito's Barbaresco Riserva is sourced exclusively from the Baluchin vineyard, which is located in the "Cru" of Bric Micca and derives its name from the local dialect meaning "star". This elevated site has a rich history of stargazing and provides the perfect terroir for producing worldclass Nebbiolo. Cocito vinifies only one red wine, the Barbaresco Riserva, in very limited quantities. Its extroverted aromas of blue violet, black cherries, and balsamic herbs makes it one of the most unique expressions in the hills of Barbaresco. Bin 1239

The Wines of Angelo Gaja
Angelo Gaja is the man credited for bringing the small commune of Barbaresco out of obscurity. His influence has changed the way the world views Italian wine to this day. A master of Nebbiolo: the austere, tannic grape once considered only quaffableafter decades of bottle age, Angelo saw its potential as a world-class wine. Despite pushback from his peers, he employed new (and what most considered outlandish) practices both in the vineyard and the winery to promote freshness and elegance in his wine. The story of Gaja is a truly fascinating one, but is best told through a glass of his stunning Barbaresco...(hint, hint).

Featured Chianti Classico
Cigliano di Sopra, 2020
$128.00
Novel thoughts don't come to mind when thinking about Chianti. Originally delimited in 1713 by Cosimo Medici III the original region between Siena and Florence is now known as: Classico. While the wines will always be intertwined with history; the Castellare estate embraces their traditions while marrying modern technique and equipment in both the winery and the vineyard. The result is a wine that displays the qualities that made the region famous over three hundred years ago combined with luxury and balance from the lessons of modernity. Bin 1328

Featured Brunello di Montalcino
Cerbaia, 2018
$177.00
In recent years, top Brunello di Montalcino producers have sought high-altitude vineyards to capture Sangiovese's typicity in warmer vintages purposefully preserving its varietal finesse. Cerbaia is fortunate to possess a coveted plot in the famed vineyard of Montosoli, where they harness the sun's rays for a formidable and refined wine with fresh acidity – a rare achievement today. Cerbaia's Brunello embodies traditional flavors of sour black cherry, crunchy red plum, saddle leather, and tilled earth. The resulting wine is a more pronounced, luxurious bottling that only the region of Montalcino can provide. (Bin 1456)

Featured Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
Canalicchio di Sopra, 2001
$498.00
Elegance. Terroir. Depth. These are the pillars of Canalicchio di Sopra, one of the great Montalcino estates. Their Riserva is produced only in great vintages and in limited quantities from the oldest vineyards on the estate, the Vigna Vecchia Mercatale. The Northern exposure only ripens to fruition in the finest of vintages; when achieved the results are stunning. Capitalizing on the complexities of a wine worthy being called a Riserva; the additional nuances from twenty years in the bottle place this wine in stratosphere of its own in terms of texture and flavor. Featured Bolgheri
Michele Satta, 2021
$93.00
It is important to give distinction to the wines of Bolgheri's "Golden Coast" as they are grown in an environment like none-other in Tuscany. Due to the unique juxtaposition of terrain and climate, Bolgheri was awarded its own D.O.C. in 1984. With its close proximity to the Tyrrhennian Sea to the west moderating the heat with a constant breeze and with an amphitheater of hills encompassing the region in the east, Bolgheri is known to produce powerfully structured red wines. Michele Satta capitalizes off of this Mediterranean climate with mature vines and high density plantings offering ripe and approachable wine finishing with classic Tuscan savoriness. Bin 3048
Just outside of Verona lies the hills of Valpolicella where one of Italy's greatest wines is produced: Amarone. This noble wine is one of the most full bodied styles you will find anywhere on the planet. Zenato's bottling is ripe, powerful, and concentrated with a soft velvety texture. The use of new French Oak barrels gives an already rich and opulent wine, layers of spice, mocha, and dark chocolate. Look for notes of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and dried herbs. Bin 1632

Just south of the Swiss border lies the sensational region of Valtellina. With vineyards terraced upon impossibly steep mountains, Valtellina is home to the best Nebbiolo outside of Piedmont. Here Nebbiolo is called "Chiavennasca" and produces one of Italy's most sophisticated reds. Positioned at a near 90 degree incline, mechanized farming is not an option here forcing grape farmers to look after each grape by hand. With high risk comes great reward in Valtellina and with one of the prized vineyards named Inferno, it becomes apparent how grape farmers feel about working at these heights. Bin 1803

Featured Producer: Ronchi di Cialla
For the savvy drinker, it is commonly known that the diversity of wines beyond Italy's "classic" regions offer a level of quality no other country can compete with. Among these hidden gems, one stands at the very top: Ronchi di Cialla. Established in 1970 by the Rapuzzi family, this winery is nestled near the Slovenian border, boasting a surprisingly warm climate for its northern location in the Friulian hills. While excelling in cultivating wines solely from indigenous grapes, Ronchi di Cialla is renowned for its successful revival of the nearly extinct Schioppettino grape. This achievement has positioned them as a reference point for the variety, alongside only one other estate in Italy – "Sassicaia" - to be recognized as DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) or appellation in their own right. Today, the estate is under the management of Pierpaolo and Ivan Rapuzzi, who are not only vintners but also entomologists. They are committed to eco-friendly and sustainable practices, fostering biodiversity. Annually, they produce a small amount of bottles, including peppery reds, dry whites, and sweet wines, which age remarkably well and are highly sought after by collectors.

Featured Etna
Passopisciaro, "Passorosso", 2021
$121.00
The Passopisciaro Etna Rosso is an exquisite expression of the land on top of Mt.Etna. Located in Sicily, at the southern end of Italy's boot, this vineyard is the highest elevation in Europe with grapes planted at just over 2,500 feet. The volcanic soil and extended exposure to the sun offer a complexity unmatched by any other terroir. The grapes used for the Passopisciaro Etna Rosso are Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio which produce a wine of great depth and character. This red posses bold aromatics which range from ripe black cherries to smokey notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodies with a long finish. The dark fruit flavors are complemented by notes of tobacco, leather, and gentle tannins. The incredible complexity and balance of this wine illuminates the beauty of the island's soil and climate, making it a truly unique experience. Bin 3645

American Pinot Noir
Featured Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Martin Woods, "Koosah", Eola-Amity Hills, 2021
$122.00
Winemaker Evan Martin is humbly producing some of the greatest Pinot Noir found anywhere. Like a virtuoso artist, Evan's discerning taste leads him to maniacally select only the highest of quality grapes, sourced from vineyard sites as rare and exceptional as they come. Enter his pièce de résistance, the illustrious "Koosah" vineyard bottling. The name Koosah, derived from the dialect of the Coastal Salish people, evokes a sense of awe with its poetic translation, "beautiful ceiling in the sky," a fitting portrayal of its perch atop the crest of Eola-Amity Hills. To the direct west of the Koosah vineyard lies a majestic gap in the formidable Coastal Range mountains. It is through this opening (aka "Van Duzer Corridor") that Koosah lies completely exposed to cooler marine temperatures and the constant threat of tempestuous storm systems that could devastate the vineyard at any time. One might ponder the audacity of sourcing fruit from such an extreme and dramatic setting, but in the case of Koosah, fortune favors the bold.. Here, the Pinot Noir vines thrive, un-grafted and planted on their original rootstock, basking in warm days and cool nights but also benefitting from the high elevation where intensified UV rays gift the vineyard with one of the most prolonged and perfectly balanced growing seasons in the Willamette Valley. Limited and exceptionally special, the '21 Koosah tantalizes the senses with notes of Alpine spices, macerated dark cherries, and a touch of reduced pomegranate leaving a lasting impression of indulgence and sophistication. James Rahn, Meunier, "Rainsong", Willamette Valley, 2018
$104.00
After a counseling session James Rahn, then a sommelier in Chicago, was struck with an idea: "Skip school, get a cellar job, go into debt buying fruit and barrels and whatnot, and boom, you're a winemaker." James packed up to Oregon to work under Luisa Ponzi of the famed Ponzi Vineyards in 2012. A year later, James founded his synonymous winery and began producing wines meant for the dinner table. His most graceful and prettiest of wines can be found here, the Rainsong Vineyard, Pinot Meunier. James is a big fan of Champagne and believes Pinot Meunier to be its most exciting, with more sophistication, energy, and lithe in comparisson Pinot Noir. Rainsong offers silkiness with a surprising roundness, think strawberry cream, ending with a bright and delicate finish. Bin 4625

Featured Vin Santo
Chianti Classico, Badia a Coltibuono, 2014 (375ml)
Crafted with meticulous care and following ancient traditions, this amber-colored elixir offers a complex and indulgent experience. Made with the classic Trebbiano and Malvasia grape varieties, the grapes are left to dry on straw mats, concentrating the flavors and sugars. The resulting wine undergoes a slow and patient aging process in small wooden barrels called "caratelli" for six years, developing a rich and luscious palate. Look for notes of honey, dried fruits, and caramel, with a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity. Bin 3492

Featured Brut Champagne Magnum
Brut, Pierre Péters, "Cuvée de Réserve", NV
$441.00
Camille Péters, around 1919, was one of the first growers of the Champagne region to decide to bottle wine under his own name. In 1932, at the ripe old age of 12, Pierre Péters, the eldest son of Camille, began to attend his first exhibitions alone and develop sales for his father's brand, and never looked back. He took over operations in 1944, and released his first vintage in 1946 under the "Pierre Péters" brand. The estate, now run by Rodolphe Péters, owns just over 19 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards , all of which are primarily located in the Côte des Blancs, where the soils are chalky and Chardonnay is king. Their flagship Champagne, the "Cuvée de Réserve", is a Blanc de Blancs style made from 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes.

As a way to offset rising costs associated with the restaurant (food, beverage, supplies), we have added a 3% surcharge to all checks. We do this in lieu of increased menu prices. This charge is not a gratuity paid to staff and is not a payment for services rendered. You may request to have this taken off your check, should you choose.
Located in Washington, D.C.'s Mount Vernon neighborhood, RPM Italian is modern in approach and Italian in spirit and features a contemporary, chef¬-driven menu with dishes meant to be shared. The sister restaurant to RPM Italian and RPM Steak in Chicago, this location marks the third collaboration between partners R.J., Jerrod and Molly Melman, acclaimed chef Doug Psaltis, and celebrity couple Bill & Giuliana Rancic. Menu highlights include more than a dozen fresh pastas made in house daily, slow¬-roasted meats, wild fish and seafood, and celebrated Italian classics with an elevated twist. Signature RPM cocktails or any wine from the extensive list enhance the dining experience. RPM Italian’s chic space is set in tones of black, whites and grays and boasts rich woods and leathers, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, night out, or simply a late night bite.
