Relaxing Massage using a variety of long gliding strokes of your desired pressure. Good for stress relief, pain management, immune stimulation and relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage
More specific than the Swedish massage this work focuses on your problem areas. It is excellent for eliminating tension from your body, reducing muscle tightness and pain. Techniques used may include trigger point therapy, myofascial release, neuromuscular re-education, and active release stretching.
Hot Stone Massage
($20 upgrade for the full 1 or 1.5 hour hot stone massage)This treatment involves the application of heated basalt stones of varying sizes to key points on the body, giving a deep massage and creating sensations of comfort and warmth. The direct heat relaxes muscles, allowing manipulation of a greater intensity than with regular massage. When there is an injury or inflammation, cooling marble stones are used. This helps the body detoxify and heal. Aromatherapy is a wonderful add-on to this treatment! (We now offer a mini stone upgrade for $10 to add on just a few stones to your regular massage)
Therapeutic Stretching
If you would like to learn tools to help yourself feel even better between massages and more consistently address nagging issues, then a Therapeutic Stretching session is for you! As a half hour add-on to your massage with most of our therapists, you will learn a basic stretching sequence that is customized for your particular problem areas and wellness goals. We will guide you through it make any modifications or adjustments that are needed so that you can do it properly and effectively.

Acupuncture
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is one of the three major branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a comprehensive system of evidence-based medicine that has been used in Asia for thousands of years to preserve health and diagnose, treat, and prevent illness. It is a safe, efficient, non-invasive, and chemical-free way to access the body's own healing resources. Acupuncture can relieve pain (including muscular pain, repetitive motion injuries, and more), ease stress, balance moods, boost energy, increase athletic performance, increase male and female fertility, and improve overall health and wellness. The concept of Qi (pronounced "chee") is the basis of acupuncture treatments. It is a non-visible element of the body and the cosmos that circulates in and around all things, both animate and inanimate. Within humans, Qi circulates along meridians (or channels), a type of highway system that also conveys blood and nutrients throughout the body. When Qi or blood are stuck somewhere along the highway, a pileup occurs, which can lead to pain or dis-ease. The key to acupuncture is restoring balance as well as ensuring regulation and coordination of physiological processes within this body system. In the acupuncture treatments, needles are inserted in acu-points all across the body, each with their own individual action and function in restoring balance to the body (they can be thought of as rest-stops, repair shops, or fuel stations along the body's highway system). In TCM, the intricate interplay between the body processes of your organs means that there is more to healing than simply eliminating or alleviating symptoms. The aim of acupuncture is to treat the underlying cause, increase the body's functional abilities, and improve quality of life.
What to expect
your first visit: It is a non-visible element of the body and the cosmos that circulates in and around all things, both animate and inanimate.
Before your treatment
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to your appointment to allow time for initial paperwork. Or better yet, download these forms and fill them in at home before you come in. Also, be sure to have a light meal or snack before your treatment, and wear or bring along with you some loose-fitting clothes that can be rolled up to you elbows and knees.
The treatment
Anywhere from 2-30 super-fine, single-use, sterile surgical steel needles will be inserted in your back, torso, limbs, and ears (this is called auricular acupuncture). You might feel a slight pinch as the needles are inserted, although most patients find the needles mostly painless. As the treatment progresses, you might feel a tingling, distended, warm, or slightly electric feel around the needles; these sensations are absolutely normal, called "Qi sensation". (Of course, if any needle is uncomfortable in any way, your practitioner will be there to adjust it or remove it altogether). Many people find acupuncture to be deeply relaxing, and it's not uncommon to fall asleep while on the table! You might feel a little light-headed immediately following your treatment, but this shouldn't last more than a few minutes. High impact activities are not advised after receiving acupuncture. Take care of you the rest of the day!
What does Acupuncture feel like?
Each person can have a different experience.
How many treatments will you need?
Many people ask how many treatments they will need to feel some relief from what ails them. The number of treatments needed depends on the duration, severity, and nature of your health condition. 2 or 3 treatments may be sufficient for acute conditions, while a series of 5 to 15 may be necessary to resolve more chronic conditions. Patients with weaker constitutions may also require longer periods of care. During the course of your treatment, your practitioner might also prescribe Chinese herbs, which powerfully work alongside acupuncture to stimulate the body's natural healing process. The charge for the herbs is in addition to, and separate, from the session cost.
Are herbal supplements an important component of acupuncture?
Absolutely. Herbs are very important in combination with the usage of needles. Most patients will have an herbal treatment regimen to go along with the rest of the treatment.

Acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:
Respiratory
allergies, cold, flu.
