Rooted Pilates' prenatal classes use Pilates-based movement to strengthen and stretch the pregnant body through all three trimesters in preparation for birth and postpartum recovery. Particular attention is given to breathwork, deep-core activation, and strengthening of the pelvic floor and stabilizers. This mat-based class is appropriate for Pilates novices and seasoned practitioners and often incorporates small equipment (i.e. Magic Circle, weighted balls, and resistance bands)
