The Robata of Tokyo brings the heat of the fire literally as flames dance at each of the hibachi tables; and also the warming feeling of family and friends gathering together over good times and great food. It has been Allentown's original and premiere Japanese restaurant for the last 24 years. Mr. & Mrs. Shindo have owned several Japanese restaurants in Pennsylvania and decided to add an Allentown location in 1985. They found their current location at 39 South 9TH Street in beautiful downtown Allentown and have remained a part of downtown’s history ever since. After a few years the Shindo family decided to give 100% focus to this location- which is part of why we have become the best tasting show in town for Japanese and East meets West cuisine.
