“Risibisi” (rice and peas) is a classic Venetian dish which was traditionally offered to the Duke of Venice (“Doge”) on April 25, in celebration of Saint Mark’s Day, the patron Saint of Venice. Risibisi was opened in downtown Petaluma in 2006 by Marco Palmieri, a native of Trieste, Italy on the Adriatic Sea.
