We believe that regular body work is an important part of your wellness routine so you get a $10 "Maintenance" Discount on select services if you return within 30 days of your last massage. (30 minute massage sessions get a $5 discount.) Prices shown do not include applicable sales tax

At Rio Grande Body Works, we offer traditional therapies such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, couple's massage, and hot stone massage. We also offer Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage, Reflexology, and Craniosacral therapy. These different styles are all described further below. More than just a birthday splurge, massage and body work are an integral component of your self care
Because we are focused on body work as an integral part of physical and emotional well-being
we commit time in addition to your scheduled therapy session so that we understand your needs-without cutting the treatment short. Please expect about 15 minutes to be added to your session length for discussion
Our therapists keep detailed notes to track progress on our clients from one session to the next, and may offer ideas for exercises or stretches between appointments.
You can see the same therapist at each visit, or explore the unique styles that different therapists offer. We are wellness-focused but always make your experience a relaxing retreat - the best of both worlds!
Classic Swedish Massage
Discount of $5 per person applies to any two or more friends/relatives, that come in together. Enjoy your treatments in the same room or separately, as you prefer. Not to be combined with other discounts. Must be schedule by phone
Classic Swedish Massage
Swedish is the best know style of massage. Long strokes and gentle stretching lengthen muscles and aid circulation. Cross-fiber friction and trigger-point work help to break up knots. Swedish massage is beneficial for all ages and instills a deep sense of relaxation. Safe for expecting mothers with some limitations. Please let us know if you are pregnant. It is also quite therapeutic and deep tissue work can be incorporated. Sports, music practice, heavy backpacks--we believe that children need body work too! Swedish Massage is available with all therapists. Clients ages 4-12 get $5 off 30 minute sessions

Massage
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapists assist clients in reaching a balance within the body using a gentle touch. The primary focus is the head, sacrum, spine and the membranes surrounding these tissues. Each session involves gentle touch on the bones of the skull, spine, and pelvis. The pressure is very light and is effective for relieving tension and inducing a deep relaxation. Craniosacral therapy is suitable for a range of ages and a variety of conditions. Available with Teresa Rice

Cupping and Swedish Massage
Cupping therapy has been in use for 3500 years for many different treatments and applications. Glass cups are heated to create localized pressure by a vacuum, then applied to the body. The cups are left in place to help lift apart layers of tight muscle & connective tissue, or they may be moved in a gliding motion, releasing tension along the way. The cupping is blended with massage for the best results. Available with Teresa Rice

Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage
This session draws upon Temple Style Hawaiian massage traditions for a truly peaceful 70-minute treatment. Your therapists use smooth, continuous movements, connecting the whole body with flowing, wave-like strokes. This style is very relaxing, as well as therapeutic. You begin your journey with an Organic Coconut-Sugar Scrub on your back or feet, then flow through a head-to-toe bodywork session. We close with the Blanket of Stars ritual, which sweeps away everything released during the session and leaves you feeling blissful and renewed. Available with Hanan or Teresa

Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage - Four Hands
This transformative treatment begins with an Organic Coconut Sugar scrub for your back or feet, then two therapists work in harmony to induce a deep state of relaxation. Sometimes choreographed, sometimes free-form, the movements are designed to help you lose all sense of time and place. Organic Coconut oil nourishes the skin, and the Blanket of Stars closing sweeps away all tension. Nothing short of incredible! Available with Hanan and Teresa. Must be schedule by phone

Reflexology
Reflexology is similar to accupuncture in that practitioners of reflexology apply pressure to specific points on the hands, feet, and ears that correspond to different body organs and systems. This muscle-melting treat can be added to a 60 or 90 minute massage session. Heated and oiled basalt stones are held in the therapist's hands to allow for deeper work while simultaneously soothing your achy muscles. A 90 minutes session is recommended. Not available with Core Syncronism or Craniosacral
