I arrived in the United States in 1994 from Punjab, India. I lived in New York City for my first year in the US when a friend encouraged me to move to St. Louis and cook at a local Indian restaurant. I cooked for a few Indian restaurants in St. Louis until I decided to start my own restaurant in Bloomington, IL. Owning my own restaurant was a dream come true but over time I realized that the food I serve should be inline with my personal beliefs. I had to open a VEGETARIAN restaurant!
I knew that a vegetarian restaurant would work in St. Louis, so I moved my family back to St. Louis and we opened Raj's Rasoi in September of 2006. We are a family owned and operated restaurant located in Maryland Heights. Come check us out!
