Why do prices vary?
As a result of their achievements, our professionals work at different levels: Protege, New Talent, Salon Designer, Master Designer, and Creative Director. While prices vary accordingly, every Pure Emerald specialist is constantly improving through ongoing education. Whatever level you seek, you'll enjoy superior service with a special touch to make your day. In addition to full-price service providers at a variety of experience levels, we occasionally employ newly hired stylists referred to as Protege These service providers are fully licensed, but overseen by educators so they may receive industry-leading advanced training. The services these providers offer are at a reduced price at select times
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
We understand that special circumstances are unavoidable and a cancellation may be necessary. If you find yourself unable to keep an appointment, we request a 24-hour notice. Guests who do not honor their appointments or cancel in less than 24-hours may be charged a cancellation fee
When should I arrive?
We ask that you check in 5 minutes prior to the start of your appointments in the Nail Spa or Hair Salon. We offer a complimentary cup of herbal tea or other refreshment and a relaxing neck and scalp massage with most services. If you are a new guest to the Pure Emerald Day Spa, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your service to fill our necessary "Client Spa Forms"
What if I am late for an appointment?
Our first goal is to accommodate our guests. Depending on circumstances, we may offer the same service with a different service provider than originally requested, or we may be forced to shorten or reschedule your appointment. If you treatment is shortened, it will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed
Are children permitted in the salon area?
Children are permitted in the retail area when accompanied by an adult and in the salon service area when receiving a service. For the comfort of all our guests and the enjoyment of your experience, children are not permitted in our salon area if not receiving a service
What form of payment do you accept?
Payment is made at the end of your visit at the check-out desk. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express or cash as a form of payment. Personal checks must contain an in-state address with a valid Indiana ID. If a Gift Card is your form of payment, we request that you bring your gift card with you and present it to the cashier upon check-out
Do you accept gratuities?
Gratuities are appreciated by the staff and can be added to a credit card payment. Envelopes are also available at the front desk for tips paid in cash
My favorite service providers are always so busy. How can I be sure they are available when it's convenient for me?
Many of our most popular service providers are industry leaders and maintain a steady clientele. To guarantee an appointment with your favorite provider, simply schedule it well in advance, even if that means scheduling it before leaving the salon. This guarantees availability with your service provider at a date and time that is most convenient to you
Do you remind me of my scheduled appointments?
Yes. As a benefit to our guests, we provide telephone confirmation of all scheduled appointments. We are also now offering text reminders of your appointments if you would prefer it instead of a phone call. If you prefer this method instead of a phone call, please mention it as you schedule your next appointment or at your next visit to ensure we have the proper Number and your Cell Phone Carrier

Adrienne has over 18 years of experience in the salon industry and has a great passion for the art of her craft. For the first years of her career, she worked under and was an apprentice/ protege for some amazing artists in the industry. Wanting to learn more, she worked in a barber shop learning the "Barbering Technique" and specialized in fashion/medical wigs and was trained in Hair Extensions for women. Currently, at Pure Emerald, she specializes in Brazilian Blowouts, Special Occasion hair, customizing haircuts, hair treatments, and offers beautiful hair color for women. She will focus on enhancing and accentuating each persons features, style, and individual beauty. Pure Emerald Hair Removal Services allow you to have quick, precise waxing to remove unwanted hair from most parts of your body, as painlessly as possible. Hair should be between 1/4" and 1/2" in length for best results. Craving a safe, sunless glow? Dinair AirtanTM is always in season! Airtan is odorless and dries tack-free. The tan develops over a 4-5 hour period and lasts up to 10 days. Airtan contains Erythrulose, which naturally occurs in red raspberries. It reacts with the amino acids in the keratin protein on the outer or dead surface layer of the skin, (the stratum corneum layer of the epidermis). This non-toxic reaction produces a temporary bronze browning effect. This is not a stain or dye, but rather a chemical reaction that produces the most natural color change. Fun and professional results! We suggest coming with clean skin free of lotions, perfumes or oils. Exfoliated skin will deliver best result. Summer is coming to an end and Fall will be upon us. All those subtle little changes, you can't help but to be inspired and embrace them. That means it's time to transition from the summer locks into a healthy conditioned head of fall locks
Going into a darker fall look could be very subtle or extreme for blondes, brunettes, and redheads
One of my favorite color conditioning services, that guests rave about, is called Finest Pigments by Davines. It's a perfect addition to any hair coloring service

April was all about beauty and sustainability at our Salon and Day Spa this month. Being a Gardener and Hair Designer for 19 years, I was delighted that I had a chance to start my herb garden, for cooking, and help our Salon and Day Spa support all of our Earth Month causes this April
Making communities more fruitful, Davines partnered with The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation
The funds that we raised, in our Salon and Day Spa FREE Hair Cutting event and Plant Sale, went towards establishing the rare Breadnut Tree in El Salvador. The Breadnut Tree provides a stable source of food and environmental benifits to the communities and schools in El Salvador
Thanks to our newest Stylist, Alyssa Ender and her family, for donating all of the herbs for our sustainability cause

When I was a kid, my Grandmother always had an old saying for the month of March. "In like a Lion and out like a Lamb." Thinking back on the month of March, at Pure Emerald, I thought it fit perfectly!
In the beginning of the month, our Salon and Day Spa inherited three, wonderful, passionate, creative
artists who I like to refer to as my, "Masters Salon Refugees". Kari, Jolene, and Jamie, our Salon Designers, were on board from day one learning the "Emerald Way" of Davines Hair Coloring and Hair Cutting. They all have been certified as Janssen Skincare Specialists and you can also find them in our Nail Spa. They are dual service providers. Get to know these ladies better and be sure to check out their Bios and Portfolios! We are thrilled to have them join our team and watch them grow

And at last but not least, I thought we could see how far the Salon Industry has evolved over the years
Present day, the Hood Dryer is a dinosaur but we just couldn't live with out it years ago! My how things have changed. We still use it on occasion for setting a great up-do, or maybe for a few minutes, to "lightly" help a hair color out, and sometimes for conditioning treatments. Gone are the days of throwing every head of hair color under the Hood Dryer. It's just not healthy for your hair. Besides, Hair Colors have progressed over the years keeping the health and integrity of your hair in mind. Remember, healthy hair is happy hair. "Quicker Hair Color", always under the dryer, is not always "Quality Hair Color". Is your hair is being over processed by chemical and heat damage at the same time? Not sure? Love is in the air everywhere, this February, at Pure Emerald the Salon and Day Spa!
We just wrapped up our 4th annual Bridal Spectacular at the Notre Dame Joyce Center sponsored by Sunny 101.5. We had a great time meeting and greeting with the Brides-to-be. It came together beautifully! A portion of the bridal gowns and hair jewelry were loaned to us by Simply Yours Bridal and Formalwear. Our Guest Photographer for this event was Molly Doaks. She's a wife, mother, and a local student pursuing her dream. She did an amazing job capturing our behind-the-scenes and bridal event moments. Thanks to the amazing Artists of Pure Emerald for showcasing their talents and to the models who graciously donated a whole Saturday of their time. Thanks! Even though it was a long day and some models and staff started as early as 6 am, not to mention the weeks of preparation, we would like to say, a huge "Thank you", to everyone who made this event happen!
