The following is a listing of our current rates. All of our tutoring is done at your home or office. There are no up-front fees - we strictly work on an hourly basis. There is no additional charge for our travel time. Lessons may be purchased in advance at a reduced rate, with a minimum of 5 lessons per purchase. Credit cards (VISA, MasterCard) are accepted for advanced purchases, but are not accepted for individual lessons. Also, checks or money orders may be mailed to our office for reduced rate certificates. A portion of the funds from these tutoring packages support the Fallen Soldiers tutoring program, which provides free tutoring to children and spouses of fallen soldiers throughout the United States

Our assessments provide a customized report which allow each student's instructional level and academic gains to be measured based on state and national objectives and standards.
The assessments are web-based and were developed by the Scantron Corporation, and are approved by the Department of Education
The assessment will clearly show what the student has successfully attained.
This customized report will also show the student's areas of weakness and provide suggested learning objectives. The Achievement Counselor is both an educational and career coach. Their main objective is to have students highly engaged in school and motivated to build a future in a career that matches their strengths. The Achievement Counselor will link the student's parent/guardian, school, and academic tutor together to create a team that is involved in building a successful student. The Achievement Counselor is the primary member of a team of professionals including Credentialed Counselors, School Psychologists, Special Education Consultants, and Teachers. High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE/SAT/ACT) Preparation
We help teens prepare to pass the High School Exit Exam and prepare them for the SAT or ACT by completing weekly online lessons. Each lesson combines text along with coordinated video resources to better accommodate audio/visual learners and maximize learning for students with different learning styles. Students complete at least one hour a week of online tutoring in order to pass the High School Exit Exam or to prepare for the SAT. Financial Literacy
Teens learn how to get started with money management. Since 1983, Professional Tutors of America has been providing one-to-one tutoring for thousands of Native American children throughout the United States. Our tutors are all Professionals who have a minimum of a 4 year college degree. Most of our tutors are credentialed teachers who are specialists in their respective areas and levels of education, including bilingual and special education. Our tutors are carefully screened with background checks through the Department of Justice and law enforcement agencies. Additionally, all of our tutors have completed Tuberculosis screening. Professional Tutors of America currently contracts with over 300 school districts. We serve the following populations: Title I Students, Native Americans, Homeless Children, Probationary and Foster Youth, Pregnant Teens, and youth who need help in passing the High School Exit Exam or the GED. NPA Services
NPA SERVICES (NON-PUBLIC AGENCY) We are a California certified NPA. What does this mean? Public schools are required to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to eligible Special Education Students, age 3-21. If a student's Special Education needs cannot be met within a given district, the district may contract with an approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) for special education and related services. Our Special Education Coordinators assist school districts and students' families to provide additional academic support outside of the classroom. SES - Supplemental Educational Services
Professional Tutors of America is an approved provider for Supplemental Educational Services (SES) throughout California. This federal legislation provides funding to under-achieving schools. Our company contracts instructional services for over 280 school districts.
Our tutoring services are always One-to-One
With the student, and our tutors will always come to the student's home, or local library, if preferred. Our tutors are all highly qualified Credentialed Teachers and College Graduates. We offer convenient scheduling, seven days a week. The parents choose the times that are convenient for their child. We also have bilingual staff and tutors available for several different languages.
All of our tutors are required to have been fingerprinted (Live Scan) through the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation
With a clear report indicating that they have not been convicted of a violent or serious felony. They must also provide a clearance from a doctor or medical clinic indicating that they are not a carrier of contagious Tuberculosis.

To begin our program
We administer a pre-test to obtain the student's strengths and weaknesses. Our unique testing module generates a Suggested Learning Objectives Report which organizes skills and concepts for each student by ability level. The learning objectives are used to develop the Student Learning Plan. These skills and concepts, aligned to state educational standards, help guide instruction by identifying the "next steps" for the student. Winning Teens
A child's teenage years can be the best of times and in some cases, the worst of times. The Winning Teens Program was developed in order to serve this population and the many challenges a teenager faces throughout junior high school, high school and their first two years of college. This Program also addresses the many challenges a teenager faces when entering the workforce today. It establishes a team of professionals, including an Achievement Counselor, who will monitor, counsel, and coach the teenager throughout these years. Program is year-round including summer.
Achievement Counselor
The Achievement Counselor is both an educational and career coach. Their main objective is to have students highly engaged in school and motivated to build a future in a career that matches their strengths. The Achievement Counselor will link the student's parent/guardian, school, and academic tutor together to create a team that is involved in building a successful student. The Achievement Counselor is the primary member of a team of professionals including Credentialed Counselors, School Psychologists, Special Education Consultants, and Teachers. The Achievement Counselor will contact each child on a weekly basis. The team of professionals will monitor the teenager's progress twice each year.

High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE/SAT/ACT) Preparation
We help teens prepare to pass the High School Exit Exam and prepare them for the SAT or ACT by completing weekly online lessons. Each lesson combines text along with coordinated video resources to better accommodate audio/visual learners and maximize learning for students with different learning styles. Students complete at least one hour a week of online tutoring in order to pass the High School Exit Exam or to prepare for the SAT. Since the lessons are online, they provide maximum control and convenience for teens.
Financial Literacy
Teens learn how to get started with money management. From understanding how money works, to creating a money toolkit, to uncovering tips for keeping track of their finances, teens understand how good money management holds the key for financial success. The lessons include a number of hands-on participant activities.
Career Exploration
Resources are used to equip youth with the necessary tools to smoothly transition to adulthood and secure employment. Teens will be able to assess their skills and consider job and career options by using our online assessments and employment resources.
Living Skills
Teens are introduced to basic life and survival skills which are often not taught in school. The Achievement Counselor will review a variety of life skills geared towards adulthood. For example, teens learn a variety of skills such as personal healthcare, maintaining a car/home, and obtaining a passport.
College Guidance
Teens will be assessed and prepared to choose the best College/University. They will acquire the knowledge to apply to public and private Colleges or Universities. Teens will also acquire the knowledge to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through a series of workshops. Our teens will be aware of the college and scholarship deadlines.

School Partnerships. Professional Tutors of America currently contracts with over 300 school districts. Probation Youth
Professional Tutors of America has 17 years of experience serving Probationary Youth nationwide. Both our Academic Tutoring Program and Winning Teens Program are available on a one-to-one or group basis. Our company can provide sessions at the home or facility of choice. NPA SERVICES (NON-PUBLIC AGENCY) We are a California certified NPA. What does this mean? Public schools are required to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to eligible Special Education Students, age 3-21. If a student's Special Education needs cannot be met within a given district, the district may contract with an approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) for special education and related services. Our Special Education Coordinators assist school districts and students' families to provide additional academic support outside of the classroom. Winning Teens
A child's teenage years can be the best of times and in some cases, the worst of times. The Winning Teens Program was developed in order to serve this population and the many challenges a teenager faces throughout junior high school, high school and their first two years of college. This Program also addresses the many challenges a teenager faces when entering the workforce today. It establishes a team of professionals, including an Achievement Counselor, who will monitor, counsel, and coach the teenager throughout these years. Program is year-round including summer.
Achievement Counselor
The Achievement Counselor is both an educational and career coach. Their main objective is to have students highly engaged in school and motivated to build a future in a career that matches their strengths. The Achievement Counselor will link the student's parent/guardian, school, and academic tutor together to create a team that is involved in building a successful student. The Achievement Counselor is the primary member of a team of professionals including Credentialed Counselors, School Psychologists, Special Education Consultants, and Teachers. The Achievement Counselor will contact each child on a weekly basis. The team of professionals will monitor the teenager's progress twice each year.
