’m Judy, the roaster and owner of Prime Roast Coffee. My job is to take the cream of the world’s coffees and precisely roast them to reveal the personality of their origin. After fifteen years of coffee roasting I have developed roast profiles for each coffee, roasting to highlight each coffees’ merits, some light some dark.
Coffee has life, roasting brings the coffee to life, but it’s a short life as gases dissipate and oils dry up. Daily roasting in small batches means Prime Roast coffee is fresh and vibrant. Fifteen years ago the roaster I purchased roasted coffee from went from custom daily roasting to large scale roasting; bigger batches less often stored on shelves in valve packaging to “prolong” shelf life.
