Level 1 - Gentle
a gentle version of our level 1 yoga classes geared towards students who would like extra care and attention to manage recovery from an injury, the effects of a disability, the return to health from serious illness and other scenarios requiring a gentler and modified approach to yoga.
prenatal yoga offers expectant mothers a time to focus on the transformation of their bodies and prepare for the labor & delivery process in the company of their peers. appropriate for all stages of pregnancy, the class presents gentle strengthening and toning poses with breath work aimed at creating and maintaining comfort, flexibility and balance within the challenged yet miraculous pregnant body.
First Friday Yoga Class
these classes are for all levels. start your weekend with gentle yoga poses, pranayama, and meditation.
Our teachers have graduated from or are enrolled in the Advanced Studies Teacher Training Program at Portland Yoga Arts. This thorough training emphasizes the importance of sequencing poses in yoga and the ability to see and understand students' bodies. You can attend classes by any of our instructors, secure in the knowledge that the instruction will come from this solid foundation. We require our teachers to advance their expertise through intensive continuing education, monthly teacher's study group practices, and periodic peer review.
