Christine Doo is a Board Certified Structural Integrator, and Certified Massage Therapist specializing in structural integration and restorative healing through Reiki, Reflexology, Thai Massage, and Myofascial Release. At Plava Bodyworks, we customize our treatment for our patients based on what ails you most. There is no one size fits all treatment when it comes to stress and pain, and before any healing is started, we must first understand thoroughly not just what hurts, but what is the root cause your pain. With extensive knowledge in all of these forms of healing, Christine is able provide permanent relief by treating the parts of the body where your pain originates, not just where it manifests itself.
Christine incorporates all of these healing techniques for our patients to provide the highest level of stress relief and energy restoration.
No two patients are alike, so every session is preceded by a thorough visual assessment and analysis of your bodies pain points to identify the appropriate healing techniques that will be applied. All sessions starting at 90 minutes.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique used for relaxation and stress reduction by transporting a life force energy into the body through touch. The purpose is to activate a restorative healing process in the patient's body and stimulate a state of physical and emotional well-being. At the heart Reiki is the recognition that a body that is low in its "life force energy" is more susceptible to stress and illness, and by restoring this natural energy, you are capable of being happy and healthy
Thai Massage
Thai Massage, also known as Thai Yoga Massage, is popular form of healing massage that is widely regarded as one of the best systems of massage therapy. Thai Massage combines a massage of the tendons and muscles with gentle, yoga-like stretching to activate the Sen, or the energy lines in the body. Thai Massage provides a wide range of benefits including detoxification, relief from stress and muscle tension, lower blood pressure, and improved circulation
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a healing technique focused on relieving tightness in your muscles and restricted range of motion in the body. It is incorporated into most every session at Plava Bodyworks by applying gentle pressure to the Myofascial connective tissue in the affected areas of your body. More often than not, pain in the joints, hips, back and neck is a side effect caused by your bodies natural reaction to relieve this tension in your fascial tissue. Utilizing her extensive knowledge of the body and Structural Integration, Christine relieves this pressure in your connective tissue to eliminate pain and restore range of motion in your body. Rolfing is a specific type of Myofascial therapy pioneered by Ida Rolf which implements a series of Myofascial healing sessions to restore energy, balance and range of motion in the body

Meet The Business Owner
Christine Doo
As a child, Christine enjoyed giving massages to her family and friends. After working on a friend with residual pain from multiple car accidents and having great results, she was inspired to pursue Massage Therapy professionally, which re-awoke her inner anatomy geek and love for healing. In 2011, she graduated from The National Holistic Institute's Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy program, and continued her studies in Reiki, Structural Thai Massage, and Shamanic Healing. Her background in Sports Injury and Rehab restores proper alignment and function, and brings long lasting relief to chronic pain and injury. Christine has continued her quest for deeper therapy and is a board certified Structural Integration aka Rolfing practitioner in Thomas Meyer's Kinetic Myofascial Integration (KMI) and his ground breaking myofascial meridian theory of Anatomy Trains. She enjoys nature, an active lifestyle, Yoga and is trained in the alignment-based style of Hatha Yoga. She brings this knowledge to her sessions by giving exercises and stretches to clients to help maintain a healthy body and calm mind.
