PJ's is family owned and there is a good chance you can say hi to Chef Joe when you stop in for a family dinner or enjoy a cold beer on the patio. Joe attended Cook Street Culinary School, one of the top culinary schools in America, and then studied in France and Italy, where he learned the importance of using fresh, local ingredients. Joe honed his culinary skills in Hawaii, San Francisco and Denver before returning home to Iowa and purchasing PJ’s Drive-In. He puts humor in everything that he does to make the kitchen and cooking fun which, in turn, translates to superior food. Chef Joe prides himself on providing fresh food from scratch and creating a family atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
