Beginner/Intermediate Reformer builds on repertoire and introduces a greater range of motion within the spine including flexion, extention, side bending and twisting. Pace will increase and transitions will be introduced. It is recommended that students have some previous Pilates experience.
Beginner Pilates Mat
Beginner Mat focuses on the basic skills needed to create a strong foundation and understanding of Pilates movement. We will then take this understanding and explore the Mat work at a Beginning to Low Intermediate level. No prior Pilates experience necessary.
Beginner Reformer
Beginner Reformer introduces students to the Reformer and how it works. Students will learn fundamental movement skills and beginning level exercises with an emphasis on getting students comfortable with the equipment. No previous Pilates experience is required.
Beginner Tower
Cadillac system. Fundamental movement skills will be explored and basic choreography introduced. Exercises from the Mat will also be incorporated into these classes. No previous Pilates experience required.
Int./Adv. Pilates Mat
Intermediate/Advanced Mat continues to add repertoire while incorporating rhythm and flow of movement. Students must have previous Pilates experience and instructor permission is required to attend.
Int./Adv. Reformer
Intermediate/Advanced Reformer is for advanced students looking to incorporate the Pilates Principles of breath, flow of movement and precision into a full body workout. Students must have previous Reformer experience and instructor permission is required to attend.
Intermediate Pilates Mat
Intermediate Mat builds repertoire while advancing previously learned exercises. This class moves at a steady pace and requires students to have a solid understanding of Pilates choreography and fundamental movement skills. Previous Pilates experience is required.
Intermediate Reformer
Intermediate Reformer builds on repertoire while moving at a quicker pace and utilizing transitions and breath. Students should have a solid understanding of Pilates fundamentals and exercise choreography. Independence in the handling of equipment set up is encouraged. Previous Pilates experience required.
Low Chair
This class will focus on the many benefits the Low Chair has to offer. The Low Chair has the ability to teach, into the body, the fundamental movements skills needed to perform Pilates exercises on other pieces of apparatus. All levels welcome.
Pilates Mat - Mixed Level
This class will cover basic Pilates movement skills while working on Beginner to Intermediate level exercises. Modifications and advanced options will be given to accommodate the needs of each student.
Tower Class
Tower/Cadillac offers both challenge and support with springs from above. Students will learn a variety of exercises to deepen strength and release stiffness in the muscles.
Yoga
There are many paths to achieving health and well-being. Sue uses an integrated approach, blending the best of eastern and western programs. She uses Vinyasa Krama (wise progression) in all of her classes, allowing for the safest and best experience possible.

Scheduling Appointments
If you have any questions about our studio please call 443.900.2279 or email, jennifer@pilatesonthebay.com. We ask that you pre-register for all classes to ensure there is space available for all students.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel/reschedule a scheduled lesson (class, private or semi-private), please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to be free from payment responsibility. If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged full price. If you do not show up for your lesson you will be charged full price. If you have an illness or emergency, we do allow two free "no charge" lessons per calendar year. Tardiness: All sessions are 50 minutes in length from the start of your scheduled session. As a courtesy to other students all sessions will end on time regardless of any late start and you will be responsible for payment in full. If you are more than 10 minutes late for semi-privates or group class, participation will be at the discretion of the instructor. This policy is for your safety.
Inclement Weather Policy
If Anne Arundel County schools are closed due to weather, Pilates on the Bay will be closed. If Anne Arundel County schools are on a delayed opening, closed beyond a 48 hour period or if it is a weekend, Pilates on the Bay will open/close at the discretion of management. Our voice mail, website and Facebook page will be updated at approximately 7am with our open/close status. If you have any questions, please leave a voice mail as we will check messages frequently and return calls as soon as possible.

At Pilates on the Bay, we teach Pilates as a form of fitness and, more importantly as a tool to better health and a better quality of life.
