Centered on the art of mindfulness meditation, this offering is your chance to get away from the stresses of modern living, and enjoy a relaxing 30-minutes of silent sitting. Meditation has long been known to provide practitioners with a host of benefits, included decreased stress, a refreshing positive outlook, and improved focus and clarity of thought. While this group meditation experience isn't designed as an instructive course on mindfulness, following your meditation session, you'll listen to a brief Dharma talk, during which the session instructor will speak on Buddhist practices, and a Q&A session to get some of those burning questions on Buddhism that you have answered. For example, what's up with the Buddha's earlobes? They're huge! Instructor Brent Morton has over ten years of meditation experience, including seven in a teaching capacity. He specializes in Insight meditation, and merging mindfulness and yoga practices. He spent four years training at Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
