Wet Plate Printing: Enlarging onto Tin & Glass
In this workshop students will learn how to create ambrotypes (positives on glass), opalotypes (positives on white tin), and tintypes (positives on blackened tin) using an enlarger.
Intro to Wet Plate with Lisa Elmaleh
In this workshop, Lisa will teach students how to create glass negatives, tintypes and ambrotypes in camera. Students will learn the techniques of preparing the plate, pouring collodion, exposing, developing, fixing and varnishing as well as chemical mixing and safety.
Intro to Traditional Black & White w/ Tricia Rosenkilde
Students will learn how to use their camera settings such as aperture and shutter speed to have creative control, about good composition, about shooting with available light, as well as how to load and process film, make contact sheets and produce aesthetically pleasing final prints in the darkroom.
35mm & Medium Format Wet Plate
In this workshop, students will be using 35mm SLR cameras and medium format Holgas to make small-format glass negatives, ambrotypes and tintypes, in camera.
