Penn Brewery tells the story of Pittsburgh’s European immigrants through our craft beer and homemade cuisine. Pittsburgh’s oldest and largest brewery, Penn’s main brewery is housed in the mid nineteenth-century landmark E&O Brewery Building in the North Side’s Deutschtown neighborhood, which was settled by German immigrants. Penn has been producing high-end craft beers since 1986, specializing in authentic, award-winning German-style beers brewed in the tradition of these immigrants, according to the strict quality standards of Reinheitsgebot. Now, we’ve brought those beers to downtown Pittsburgh, at our Taproom & Kitchen at 432 First Ave. In addition, we also offer a menu of fresh sandwiches, salads, and appetizers alongside our beers, making the Taproom the perfect spot for an eat-in or grab ‘n go lunch, or an after-work Happy Hour drink. Penn Brewery is proudly independently owned and operated. Come check out the newest location of Pittsburgh’s oldest craft brewery!
