Our training mimics every day life as we battle through emotional, physical and mental challenges we believe the only way to get through these stresses are to attack them head on. In our training we battle through these obstacles incorporating diaphragm breathing and our motivation techniques. As we are able to get stronger physically we learn emotionally and mentally we become stronger as well. Thus we are able to gain the stamina to battle our outside stresses with the tools necessary to overcome them.
Strength: Is the ability to move resistance. We believe without strength all other forms of training are rendered useless.
With strength we can stave off injury and weakness and keep active and productive well into our golden years. Strong body helps to strengthen our mind and allow us to explore doing things we would never think about doing out of fear and weakness. Strong body- strong mind.
Our strength training is broken down into two parts - muscle isolation and functional movement.
Muscle isolation helps to strengthen every moving part of your body so that each part can function in a healthy and supporting manner.
Functional movement is taking every day activities and sporting events and performing patterns that mimic those activities.
If we train in movement patterns we will be successful in completing each function that we are participating in.
Muscle isolation is utilized in a training program that provides pyramid training.
Meaning we will do sets of an exercise with rep ranges that vary from 15-3. Progressively getting our clients' stronger, varying the resistances that we use keeps them continuing to make progress and stave off injury.
Functional movement is combined in patterns of exercises that can be used in multiple ways.
Either one movement at a time or in a circuit of exercises one after another, all done in a manner to enhance the movement and flow of the body.
Stamina: Defined as physical exertion, power and strength done over a long period of time.
We believe stamina is important because in life we are faced with many situations and obstacles that make us dig deep into heart, mind and body to push through and reach the other side. Sometimes these challenges present themselves over the course of days, months and years and if you are not physically and mentally prepared your body will break down.
Our stamina program will combine multiple exercises done one after another for a timed period of exertion. Our stamina will combine strength, power and endurance.
Sculpt: We believe that all fitness programs are not created equal.
At Peak 360 not only will you be strong, have stamina to reach your goals and work through obstacles but you will also look fit. The problem with other fitness programs is that they will focus on one or the other and leave some thing out. We cover all that is necessary in a fitness program to mimic every day life challenges; help you reach your goals; keep you healthy and strong; change your body so that you are proud of the way that you look.
Methods of Training
Proprioceptive and neuromuscular training to help improve core muscles, and work on stabilizing the knee joint.
PASSIVE STATIC STRETCHING The client allows the trainer to move his or her joints through a full range of motion and increase length of the muscles: PROPRIOCEPTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION (PNF) A stretching technique utilizing a series of contract-relax cycles for the purpose of stimulating the body's own nervous system to allow deeper stretches.
Mind and Body
PILATES: We use a contemporary approach emphasizing neutral spine and neutral pelvic alignment. Benefits include core stability, activating and conditioning deep postural muscles and balancing strength with flexibility.
FUNCTIONAL TRAINING Incorporates pushing, pulling, locomotive, level changes and rotational movement patterns all done in sagittal, frontal and transverse planes of motion. Many pieces of equipment such as Swiss balls, medicine balls, bands or tubing, balance pieces, etc. are incorporated into the workout; CORE STABILIZATION / CORE STRENGTHENING Taking movements that isolate the muscles of the core (abdominal, low back, hip flexors) either in a static position or dynamic position.
We take very specific exercises geared towards the function of the participant's sport and incorporate it with agility, stability, speed, quickness, power (plyometrics), change of direction, strength, balance and conditioning. With each sport being different, but sharing some parallel skill sets, we emphasis what is important for the participant's particular sport.
FREE WEIGHTS, SELECTORIZED MACHINES AND AEROBIC MACHINES Specific programs will be designed to reach each client's needs and goals using a combination of methods mentioned above. Exercises use both single joint movements and compound movements; CARDIO-RESISTANCE The most effective way to reap the benefits of both aerobic and anaerobic strength training to achieve maximum results. We will do circuit resistance exercises with (1-2-3-5-10-20 minute) bouts of cardiovascular work.
We believe the primary objective of training young people is to promote lifelong physical activity, which they can continue to follow, to live a long, healthy life. The routine should be fun in which a young person could get a better understanding towards the importance of fitness in their everyday life. Many training methods will be incorporated into their workout sessions.

A four-week exercise/nutrition/massage therapy program. Our personal trainers will meet 5 days per week for 1 hour with you. They will execute each program with a time efficient and results oriented approach. Our exercise program is customized to meet the individual's goal. We utilize all the components of fitness including core and stability exercises, cardiovascular and conditioning exercises, strength and toning exercises, power and speed exercises, balance exercises, agility exercises and yoga and stretching exercises. Bands, balls, machines, free weights and body weight exercises will be utilized in the session. Any and all combinations will make up the 5 day per week program.
Our Registered Dietitian will meet with each participant 3 times for the length of the boot camp.
She will assist each participant with her expert knowledge of food combinations and menus. She will meet you at your grocery store of choice to help make things as easy as possible.
Our Massage Therapists will meet you for 1 hour.
They will help to relax the muscles using various techniques. The deep tissue massage has many benefits including, less aches and pains, and increased blood flow.

Djoana Bakani, BSPT, RPT Djoana has a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Saint Thomas, Manila, Philippines and is a doctoral candidate at Dominican College. She specializes in the treatment of orthopedic/sports injuries, geriatrics and chronic pain. Djoana has completed extensive training during her career in manual and movement based therapy. Djoana's interests outside of work include yoga, holistic medicine and running. Djoana's Treatment Philosophy Djoana's treatment philosophy is strongly influenced by her own experience as a patient searching for a solution to her running injuries and chronic pain from TMJ(temporomandibular joint). Djoana pursued her training in manual therapy and functional movement training in hopes of finding a way to treat her own chronic pain with a more conservative and long term approach. This experience has given Djoana a high level of understanding, as well as empathy, including a good understanding of the secondary physical effects of chronic pain. Djoana uses her own experience as a patient, her clinical experience in physical therapy, and her education in complementary treatments like yoga and fitness to help patients find their own path to health and wellness.
