Pamplemousse – Quality, Consistency, Customer Service. Located in the heart of downtown Redwood City, Pamplemousse opened in 2006 as the culmination of a life-long dream of its sole owner and chef, Kelli Manukyan. Raised in Quebec, Canada, Kelli was exposed to a wide variety of cultures and cuisines and developed a passion for “everything food” from a very young age. Originally working her way up from garde manger to the hotline in fine dinning, hotel and bistro establishments, Kelli transitioned to pastries quite by accident in 2001, when the pastry chef quit. She stepped in and immediately knew she was “home.” She has been designing and creating high-quality pastries ever since, first as plated desserts and then for reputable bakeries around the Bay Area. Pamplemousse does more than pastries, however. Kelli’s creativity and demand for excellence in the kitchen and in service to her customers carries through to her light, all-day fare. Pamplemousse also offers a specialty menu for corporate events and one of the Bay Area’s largest selection of French Macaroons.
