Morning Mindfulness Yoga
a vinyasa (flow) class that combines asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), and dhyana (meditation) to aid in drawing awareness in and locating the subtle world of the energy body. some vinyasas will be high energy and others will be more meditative. suitable for students of all levels.
Flow Into Friday Yoga
a vinyasa (flow) class that offers asanas (postures) for beginner to intermediate level yoga students. with pranayama (breath control), asana (postures) and dhyana (meditation) we will move into friday and the weekend with calmness and ease. vinyasas wil be high energy or slow moving depending on the day.
Open Heart Yoga' just fell into place. It was born out of my commitment to the principles of Unitarian Universalism - All Paths - and my love of Yoga. After I completed Yoga teacher training at Barefoot Works Yoga Studio, I began to look for more venues for teaching yoga. I realized the perfect one was right in front of me. My family had joined the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington in 2007, just after moving back to Kentucky. My family believes in and supports many of the UUCL programs; from the Environmental Task Force to the Buddhist Sangha, the children religious exploration programs, and the wonderful support that it offers the BGLT community. I had already been offering a weekly class at UUCL and was thus able to donate part of the proceeds of that class to the church. So, why not add more and different types of classes!!! Expanding the offerings allows me to offer more affordable yoga to the community and support the UUCL community that I have grown so fond of.
