"Butters" Mochiko goes to Plantation School with Lil Hayden Mui, and they have been best friends since the Second Grade. They both hate P.E., and love the Math League. He's half-Japanese, half-haole, loves the band The Poggs, and knows he's got heart. The pop chef's favorite flavor, this recipe took much trial and error to get just right. The local baked treat, which combines the gooey texture of mochi with the flavor of haole pound cake, is captured perfectly in this popsicle

He stays frosty even when he gets in trouble and might get lickin's. Miguel brought his coffee farming talents to the islands, along with his trusted donkey Pepe, from the South American coffee plantations many years ago. Genmai Chai is such a supple leaf, a wise tea plant monk who followed his Shinto studies to the temple Upcountry on Plantation Island. His taste is soothing, subtle, and refined. Hand-picked, organic green tea from the Maunakea Green Tea Company give this light green tea ice cream pop its subtle depth of flavor. Using more non-fat island milk in the base makes this one of the lowest calorie dairy-based flavors as well. Pedro Xocatl came to visit his cousin Moka Anisette from their ancestral homeland in ancient Mexico. He thinks Plantation Island is a wild and crazy place, filled with nutty, fruity freaks, but he has been touched by the Aloha spirit. He's also happy he has Mauka Miguel to speak Spanish with. Like a gourmet fudgsicle made by the people who invented chocolate, this pleasing pop makes a milk chocolate ice cream pop out of Waialua Estate dark chocolate, infused with just a touch of local cinnamon, local vanilla and a hint of mild organic ancho chile powder. Pineapple Li hing
Paps is just an aging plantation rapscallion, farmer and local boy never meaning no harm, been in trouble with the law since the day he was born. Made by combining the ripest fresh organic white pineapples from Maui, so sweet and very low acid, with our special homemade blend of Li Hing Mui powder to create a sweet tangy treat you can't resist.
