Tyler Dorsey (B.S., M.A.T.)
Tyler is a fifth year Physical and Health Education teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools.
He was graduated from James Madison University in 2007 with his Bachelors in Kinesiology (study of the human body in movement) and a Masters in Health Education. On a daily basis he trains high school students in strength and conditioning, weight training, fitness circuit exercising and team sports. Furthermore, he educated these young minds in nutrition, wellness and mental and emotional health when directly related to a healthy active lifestyle.
In addition, Tyler has run a surf rescue beach patrol in South Bethany Delaware since 2003 with a current rank of 1st lieutenant.
His current patrol rank requires him to create and lead daily mandatory workouts for elite collegiate athletes. He is also required to instruct and certify all lifegueards in First Responder CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen Administration. With physical fitness being a prerequisite to surf rescue, this occupation also facilitates a strong work ethic, heightened levels of responsibility, self-discipline, and tough moral fiber.
Tyler is an advocate for positive, whole health approaches that includes physical, intellectual, social, and emotional well-being.
Tyler feels that by promoting self-esteem, increasing self-confidence, and acting in healthful ways, you can work toward living life to its fullest potential.

Skip Habblitz (Certified Personal Trainer)
Skip got involved in competitive weightlifting, power lifting and body building at age 18.
He competed in and won contests throughout the United States. He is now into his third career as a Personal Trainer, having retired from management positions in the Air Force as a Lt. Col,, and in the aerospace industry. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Maryland and a masters degree from Central Michigan University.
Skip is certified as a personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
He continued his education with certification as a golf fitness instructor. In 2008 he won the Virginia State Masters Golf Championship.
Skip's specialties include body shaping, strength and cardiovascular training, stretching exercises and nutrition.
He creates training programs for beginners and experienced weight trainers and for those who want to improve their athletic ability in sports, especially golf.
Skip will help you achieve your goals by customizing a program specific to your needs.
Brenda Daeschner (Certified Personal Trainer)
Brenda is an AFAA certified personal fitness trainer who has been training for over ten years.
She continues her education in the growing and ever changing industry by taking classes in group training, one-on-one training, youth fitness and more.
Brenda does traditional weight training as well as functional training with her clients.
She knows the importance of having a string core and balance. She feels that athletes can only go so far with strong arms and legs. She understands and teaches that it takes a strong core to facilitate all of one's potential strength.
Brenda has also worked with local Chiropractors, in helping patients with shoulder and back problems.
Three of her clients have returned strong from back surgery with her guidance.
Brenda is married with three children who are all committed to living a healthy lifestyle.
She believes fitness is just a way of life in her household. She has trained her two teenagers to complete at the varsity level in lacrosse, football and baseball.

Joey Burr (H.F.S.)
Joey has been involved with sports and the weight training lifestyle since Junior High School.
He is a Rugby athlete in Division 2 and helped win a Division 3 National Title for his team. Currently Joey is training for Power Lifting and is competing in National Title competitions in Virginia.
Joey is in the final stretch of his graduating year with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and will graduate fall 2014.
He has trained Division 1 Athletes at Longwood University as an intern for the Strength and Conditioning Program for 2 years as an Undergraduate.
Joey believes training is only one part to achieving your fitness goals

Weight lifting, wether light or heavy, 3 times a week helps to re define your body shape and reduce inches.
The one key element to good health and positive results with your fitness training program starts first and foremost with proper diet.
A balanced diet of protein, low carbohydrate intake and vegetables along with a serving of fruit and of course plenty of water is a good start to a health diet. A small hand full of chocolate chips does the trick when graving something chocolate.

Class Description
Power Pump
This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructor and your choice of weight to inspire you to get the results you came for-and fast! No intimidation, work out at your own pace with your own chosen weights. This is a great class to get you started on the principles of weight training. Instructors Kaci, Mary.
Barre Class
Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat. Utilizing the ballet bar, a ball and light, weights to perform small isometric movements set to music. Barre is one of the safest ways to change your body. Students see results in just 10 classes. The low impact technique of Barre class protects your joints because it does not involve any bouncing or jumping. A stretching section is followed directly after each strength section of the workout in order to create long, lean muscle without bulk. The workout launches a full-blown attack on the areas of the body many struggle with: abs, hips, seat and arms. It focuses on tapering everything in and lifting it up. Instructor Cheryl.
Yogalates
A Combination of Yoga and Pilates. Instructor Kaci.
Boot Camp
High intensity interval training including abs, pushups and whole body drills using light, weights and body weight resistance. You'll impress yourself each time you complete a workout! Instructor Mary.
Spin
A cycle class that uses rapid change from station to station to keep your heart rate up while working all major muscle groups. Resistance and weight training are implemented to produce the most effective workout. Bring your heart rate monitor to class if you have one! Circuit/Core Fitness
A total body workout. Work in stations for timed intervals working the entire body. Weight based class that covers upper and lower body. Continuous movement class style you work at your own pace. Ab workout is incorporated into the 1 hour class. Instructor Vick, Mary.
Stretch & Abs
The use of yoga techniques for stretching alone with core strengthening.
Pilates
Focuses on the core postural muscles, which help keep the body balanced and are essential to providing support for the spine. Pilate's exercise teaches awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aims to strengthen the deep torso muscles, the abdominal wall and back muscles. Instructor Jen.
Yoga
Focuses on upper-body conditioning poses and flowing from one Hatha Yoga pose to the next. Also great for beginners, I teach this class as a multi-level class. There are regularly new students as well as students that have been with me for years. Instructor Jen.
Boxing
Jabbing, punching and core strengthening. Hand/eye coordination. No contact boxing. Coach McGuiness.
Hapkido/Self-defense
The Hapkido, Self-Defense class is offered by Bruce Hilgartner at a special rate to our members. For more information contact Bruce at pvilledefense@gmail.com. The first 2 classes are free. The fee is $30 monthly. It's a low impact, high tempo class teaching self-defense skills. This class will build a foundation of reactive muscle memory to certain situations.
