Dimitri (the owner and chef) was born in Greece and went to the top European culinary school in Athens, Greece. After graduating he competed and was selected to become the personal chef for top admiral in the Greek Navy. When his time in the navy was finished he wanted to fulfill his lifelong dream and move to America. He came to Minnesota in 1970 with hopes of having a restaurant of his own. He worked at the following places: The Minneapolis Club, Hotel Sofitel, The Camelot, Nicklows, Little Jacks and other well known establishments. In 1985 he purchased the Country Couzin restaurant and was owner for over 20 years. Stop in some time and ask him to play his harmonica and do his Greek dancing! (If you don't like his greek dancing and harmonica playing, you will surely enjoy the food!)
