How Electrology Works
Electrolysis uses a low level electrical current to remove hair permanently.
The current is delivered to the Dermal Papilla (the source of nourishment for the hair located at the base of the follicle) and the productive organ or matrix of the hair through a very fine sterilized disposable probe inserted into the follicle along the hair shaft. Once the current is applied and the papilla and the reproductive organ/matrix of the hair are destroyed, no further hair growth will occur
Normal Hair Growth Cycle
All hair, regardless of the area of the body, has a different growth cycle.
After the hair is sloughed, the follicle becomes dormant for a period varying from a few weeks to several months, and then begins once again to produce hair. Since only visible hair can be treated, the initial treatment for any given area can vary. Much of the perceived "regrowth" that occurs during treatment is really hair emerging from dormancy. Teen
The Teen Facial includes cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (the removal of black heads and pustules), high frequency (an anti-bacterial treatment) and a mask. The Facial is designed for teenage problem skin types and lasts approximately one hour.
Signature European
The Signature European Facial includes exfoliation, extractions, hand and foot massage, massage of the face, neck and shoulders and a mask. Products are customized to suit the skin type. Your skin will feel well cleansed and balanced. The facial takes approximately 90 minutes.
Glycolic
The Glycolic Facial utilizes a skin friendly fruit acid which helps to speed up the regeneration of the skin cells resulting in a smoother, calmer, finer texture and a reduction of comedones (blackheads), fine lines and wrinkles. This facial can be done as a comprehensive 90 minute treatment or a 45 minute facial pick-me-up.
Mens
The Mens Facial includes exfoliation, extractions, face, neck and shoulder massage and a mask. The facial is geared towards a mans more rugged skin and lasts 60 minutes.
Back Facial
The Back Facial includes exfoliation, extractions, massage and a mask. Customized to treat the often neglected, hard to reach area. This treatment takes 45 minutes.
