For years we had been contemplating opening a gourmet Indian restaurant. The South Bay seemed to be the perfect place with its fresh ocean air and collection of fine dining eateries. In fact, the only thing missing in the South Bay was a fine dining gourmet Indian restaurant. And so our journey began. We continued looking for the perfect location for a fine dining Indian restaurant where guests could enjoy a truly authentic first class dining experience. Our goal was to create an Indian restaurant where guests could enjoy a truly authentic first class dining experience. A place one could go locally without having to travel to New York or London or even Toronto. A place that could compete with the best of the best. In summer of 2009 we found the perfect location with outdoor patios which had ocean views, assembled a winning team and together turned a dream into reality and opened Ocean Tava: India Bistro.
