Frequently Asked Questions
What Happens on My First Visit?
When you first arrive you will complete a brief health history form. The treatment will then be performed after the Chiropractor review this information with you to ensure that your visit is as comfortable and effective as possible.
What is the difference between a Brief and Extended Visit?
A Brief Visit involves manipulation of the spine and or extremities to help relieve minor pain and discomfort. This typically takes no more than 2-3 minutes. The Extended Visit is recommended for a significant problem or pain pattern. In addition to the joints, the Extended Visit will address the muscles and soft tissue and takes approximately 15 minutes.
Will I be sore?
Usually there is no soreness. On occasion, you may have some mild discomfort for a day or two following the treatment. This is very similar to going to the gym for the first time and feeling sore afterward.
How often do I need to come in?
For brief visits you can come in as often as you like. Once a week or once per month are common. For specific conditions and pain patterns, it may take 3-6 visits to fully resolve the problem.
Are there any exercises I can do?
Some exercises can be helpful while others can actually do more harm than good. If you would like some specific training, it is recommended to schedule an Extended Visit.
