Dominic's roots are in a small Italian town tucked away in the mountains of Riano, Italy. He grew up learning the Italian kitchen arts from his grandmother , Maria, who moved to America with her 6 children in 1931. She was known in Riano as a "Fabulisimo cook" and arrived in Cicero, Illinois with all the family recipes of fine Italian cuisine intact. Italian food is a family tradition, with 5 generations involved in the Italian restaurant business and in 1952 Maria opened NICK'S CUCINA, named after her son Dominick (the present owner's father.) It became a well known Italian restaurant serving all the favorite Italian dishes.
