Since 1948 Newick has been bringing the best and freshest seafood to New England. It all began on the bountiful waters of Great bay. My grandfather, John Newick, sold his surplus lobster catch at a roadside stand on Dover Point. As time went by more and more people began to come from all over for the famous lobster rolls.
Eventually my father, Jack Newick, built a takeout shack where our Dover location now stands. The menu grew and so did the shack. Jack continually added more seating until a devastating fire in 1984. After that he built what may be the largest lobster shack anywhere with 650 seats.
Today, with more than sixty years and three generations in the business, Newick’s remains committed to bringing the best and freshest seafood to all three of our locations. Thank you for visiting us and we look forward to seeing you soon.
