Our facial expressions such as smiling, laughing and frowning cause the facial muscles to contract creating folds and deep wrinkles. These lines can make you look older, tired, sad or angry. Botox is an easy fix that not only prevents the formation of fine lines, but also overtime reduces signs of aging. Botox is administered through a series of small injections and can last for up to six months with no downtime and little to no discomfort. Botox is a highly effective, minimally invasive dermal filler that drastically improves the skin's overall appearance. Our trained staff will help determine the best treatment plan based on one's personal skin needs.
Botox Cosmetic Treatment
Botox Cosmetic is the most popular injectable cosmetic treatment on the market today.
Botox treatments are very quick and have no recovery time
With results after just one treatment, increasing over several days.
Botox is a medication that is injected into the muscles between your eyebrows, forehead or around the eyes.
Once injected, it will block any nerve impulses from entering the muscle, which reduces the muscle activity that causes the wrinkles to form.
Once you receive our Botox injections
You can expect to see increased results for up to 30 days. After that, your results will last as long as three to four months before you need another treatment.
Frequently Asked Questions About Botox Cosmetic Treatment
What is Botox made of?
Botox is a prescription drug called OnabotulinumtoxinA. It is a neurotoxin produced by the bacteria strain of Clostridium botulinum. It is FDA approved for the cosmetic treatment of wrinkles and lines and is completely safe.
How does Botox work?
Botox is a neurotoxin that, when injected into muscles, relaxes them from motion for a period of time. When used cosmetically to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, it does so by temporarily blocking the nerve activity in the muscles surrounding the wrinkle, preventing the muscle from forming the motion that created the wrinkle or crease. The result is a smoother, wrinkle-free skin surface.
Is Botox a wrinkle filler?
No. Botox only prevents the muscles from forming the wrinkle in the skin. Facial fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane are a different type of injection in which an injectable gel is gently injected inside the wrinkle area, filling in the wrinkle by plumping up the skin and making the wrinkle disappear. Botox and facial fillers work together; the filler fills in the wrinkle while the Botox keeps the wrinkle from reforming.
Will Botox results show right away?
No. Patients that receive Botox injections start noticing a difference in their facial muscles about two to seven days after the injections. Full effect of the Botox injection can take up to two weeks.
How often do I need Botox injections?
Typically, when you begin Botox injections you will need to repeat the process every three to four months. Patients report that with repeated injections they can go longer in between treatments. Some patients have their BOTOX injections once per year because they have been getting this highly effective wrinkle treatment on a regular basis.
Botox for Men
Botox is not just for women.
Hundreds of thousands of men in the United States receive BOTOX treatments every year. Whether treatments are performed between the eyebrows, across the forehead, or around the mouth, BOTOX can be as highly effective for men as it is for women. Men in their thirties start to see frown lines and forehead creases become more noticeable. Often, they turn to BOTOX cosmetic as a solution to that problem. BOTOX helps them looked fresh and years younger for important business meetings and other social occasions. Men, just like women, don't want to walk around looking sad, tired, or angry. Individual results may vary
Botox is highly effective with minimal side effects and risk.
BOTOX for men not only minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but also stops them from getting worse. Reducing the signs of aging with Botox cosmetic leaves you looking fresh, young, and ready for your next power lunch. Individual results may vary

Before & After Botox for Men
Avoid taking aspirin
NSAIDs, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, fish oil supplements and other anticoagulant medications several days before receiving Botox injections. Men taking Coumadin or Warfarin should not be getting Botox injections. Also, do not drink alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.
After administration of Botox
Do not massage or rub the injection sites. Avoid heavy physical activity for at least 24 hours after receiving injections. Your injector will advise you not to lie down (sitting upright is fine) for around four hours following treatment. The possibility exists that lying down may facilitate the spread of Botox to other parts of the body, which may cause unwanted side effects.
Frequently Asked Questions About Botox Cosmetic Treatment for Men
How is Botox used for Men?
Botox is not just beneficial for women, men too get wrinkles, and a forehead injection treatment of Botox can significantly improve moderate to severe glabellar lines (furrows between the brows). Botox is also approved to reduce the appearance of fine lines extending from the corners of the eyes (crow's feet).
What should I expect at my treatment session?
Botox injections for men consist of injections into the muscles responsible for wrinkles and frown lines using a very small needle. Most Botox treatment sessions take less than 15 minutes, depending on the severity of the wrinkling. Men getting Botox injections report brief, minimal discomfort upon receiving injections. Anesthetic creams or cold packs may be used to numb the injection site if requested. No downtime is associated with Botox injections.
When will I see results?
Within a few days, men getting Botox will see improvements in frown lines, crow's feet and forehead wrinkles. Reduction of wrinkles generally continues for several weeks, with final results lasting as long as four to five months. However, individual results vary and depend on multiple factors such as skin condition, genetics and severity of wrinkling. Most men need repeat Botox injections every three to four months.
What are the side effects of Botox for Men injections?
Common side effects associated with Botox for men include localized tenderness, slight bleeding and temporary bruising. Rarer side effects may be experienced by a small percentage of men: dry mouth, neck pain, blurry vision, drooping eyelids and headache. Your nurse will discuss all side effects that can occur from Botox injections and offer advice about whether you should seek medical attention.

Dysport
Also, because Dysport® is a more dilute solution compared to other injectable treatment options, the solution may migrate from the initial injection sites. This occurrence is an extremely uncommon one, but if you are concerned about this issue post-treatment, follow-up with your medical provider immediately.
How Does Dysport® Work?
Dysport® is a botulinum-toxin based cosmetic treatment, also known as a neuromodulator, because of its relaxing effects on muscle tissues. These effects make it an ideal rejuvenation treatment for dynamic wrinkles — wrinkles caused when we make natural facial expressions — and it can help in preventing these aging signs from developing further. The neuromodulator treatment also gives patients long-lasting results with a high level of convenience and safety. Dysport® is highly-effective in smoothing fine lines and wrinkles in the upper portion of the face, specifically the lines between the eyebrows, around the eyes and in the forehead.
What Results Can I Expect After Dysport®?
Dysport® produces fast results. Patients often see improvements to their aging concerns within two to three days of having their Dysport® treatment. Most patients, however, see their results develop during the first seven days after having Dysport®. However, the rejuvenating effects of the treatment will continue to develop for up to four months after their last injections. To maintain these results, patients will require periodic touch-ups, and your medical provider at New Skin & Body Aesthetics can recommend the optimal number of Dysport® sessions to have annually based on your responsiveness to the treatment and the severity of your symptoms. The convenience of the procedure along with the very low level of risk makes Dysport® a compelling alternative to more invasive rejuvenation treatments and one which can prevent the need for those procedures for some time.
What is Dysport®?
Dysport® is an injectable and nonsurgical anti-aging treatment which can smooth fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and in the forehead
Rejuvenating the upper facial area of patients and preventing the further development of these aging symptoms. Patients receive Dysport® through a few quick injections which they can have at New Skin & Body Aesthetics.
This injectable treatment is often referred to as a "neuromodulator" because it temporarily relaxes the contractions of the facial muscles into which it is injected.
When these muscles relax, wrinkles will appear minimized, and it may even eliminate finer wrinkles in some patients. Because Dysport® minimizes muscle contractions, it is an effective treatment for dynamic wrinkles of the face, wrinkles caused by facial expressions.
In addition, Dysport® complements other cosmetic treatments very well.
For example, you can have Dysport® to treat your dynamic wrinkles while you have fillers to treat loss of volume caused by depleted collagen. Together, these treatments can provide comprehensive facial rejuvenation when patients desire more substantial results. You can also easily and safely have a Dysport® treatment over your lunch hour.

Juvederm
What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to provide 9 months to one year of correction for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth). Juvederm is a smooth gel filler that is injected into your dermis. It works by replacing the HA that has been lost in your skin. Since the treatment is a smooth gel, you will see the results instantly. The best part is that due to the unique gel formula, results have shown that one treatment can provide you with up to one year of natural-looking results. No one will be able to tell that you had a treatment, but they notice how vibrant and fresh your skin looks.
Juvederm for Lips
Some people simply have naturally thin lips and just want to achieve a fuller appearance; smoking, sunlight, and stress can also increase the lines around your lips. Why? The component responsible for hydrating your skin, hyaluronic acid (HA), is gradually lost over time. This loss is the most visible on your smile lines (the vertical lines that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth), marionette lines (the lines around the corners of your mouth), and your vertical lines (the lines between the center of your nose and upper lip). If these lines make you look older than you want to, there is a solution. Whatever your unique needs are when it comes to your lips, the JUVÉDERM® collection may be able to help.
Juvederm for Facial Volume
As the years go by and decreasing amounts of collagen and elastin are produced by the body, age-related midface volume loss can occur, this causes the cheeks to flatten and the skin begins to droop and sag. Juvederm Voluma is an injectable filler designed to plump up the cheeks and correct age-related volume loss with deep midface injections. This non-surgical treatment can lift and contour the cheeks and take years off your appearance. Juvederm Voluma has been proven to last up to two years when applied to the cheek area. Results will be visible immediately, and there is no downtime with this safe, non-surgical procedure. Juvederm Voluma injections produce dramatic yet natural looking results. This treatment works against gravity to lift and sculpt the face and add volume, roundness, and fullness to the cheeks.
Frequently Asked Questions About Juvederm
What is a dermal filler?
A dermal filler is a substance that is injected into the "dermal" layer of the skin to augment and reduce the look of wrinkles. Therefore, fillers produce volume under the wrinkle which causes it to be lifted up and smoothed out. There are multiple dermal fillers that are available for aesthetic purposes and they range in durability within the skin, ease of use, and the locations it can be used in the face.
What areas of the face can be treated with Juvederm?
JUVÉDERM® can be used for smoothing out folds and wrinkles, enhancing the lips and shaping facial contours. The most common areas are the nasolabial folds (from the outside of the nose to the angle of the mouth), on/around the lips, marionette lines, glabellar lines (between the eyebrows), cheeks and under the eyes.
What is involved with the injection process? Does it hurt?
Patients are encouraged to ice the treatment area extensively which allows for substantial numbing, as well as minimizing bruising. Numbing creams are also available and allow for the injections to be tolerated better. The actual procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The clear gel is injected into the dermal layer of the skin with a very fine needle. Finally, the area is massaged to ensure that the product is smooth and evenly placed.
What will I look like after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, you can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection and usually resolves in 7-10 days.
How long will the Juvederm injections last?
JUVÉDERM® treatments are long-lasting but not permanent. The length of time a treatment maintains its effectiveness varies depending on the individual. Factors such as age, skin type, injection site, life-style and muscle activity can effect the longevity of the filler. Experience shows that most of the JUVÉDERM® treatments in the nasolabial folds can be effective for up to one year, and up to six months for lip enhancements. Most patients choose to have a follow-up treatment six to twelve months after the initial treatment.
Restylane
What is Restylane?
Restylane is an injected gel that contains an active ingredient called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body that helps to fill in skin. A Restylane injection is designed to work like this natural hyaluronic acid in the body to fill in creases to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Restylane is FDA approved and is considered to be a safe method of smoothing skin. With over 30 million treatments worldwide and counting, the Restylane line of hyaluronic acid fillers provides natural-looking results by smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds (Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne), providing subtle lip enhancement and smoothing the lines around them (Restylane Silk), and adding lift and volume to the cheeks (Restylane Lyft).
Approved Uses for Restylane

Xeomin
What is Xeomin
Over time, our natural facial expressions can produce frown lines where muscle contractions fold the skin and create wrinkles.
These aging signs can remain, becoming more prominent over time and adding to the aged look of our most prominent feature, our face. One safe and natural way to treat unwanted frown lines is through neuromodulators.
A neuromodulator treatment
Such as Xeomin, can gently and effectively neutralize the muscles which create these frown lines, softening their appearance and preventing their further development. For those concerned about frown lines but who also want the most natural treatment with the least risk, Xeomin is an appropriate and exciting option.
How Does Xeomin Work?
Xeomin represents an advanced step in the evolution of neuromodulators.
Created through a highly-advanced manufacturing process, the treatment you will receive includes only the active agents which will benefit your skin. Non-active proteins and compounds are eliminated during the production of the injectable, limiting your exposure to non-essential ingredients and significantly reducing your risks.
As with most injectables
You can receive your treatment on an outpatient basis, with the entire procedure lasting no more than a half hour in most cases. First, your medical provider will meet with you to discuss your aesthetic goals, and after a careful evaluation, they will plan your Xeomin treatment.
When your procedure day arrives
Your medical provider will cleanse the area before treatment. The procedure does not require any anesthetic. After a few injections into the muscles where the frown lines occur, your procedure will be complete. You may experience some mild discomfort, but most patients leave the office comfortably.
You will have no downtime after your Xeomin procedure
And you can immediately return to work or your busy schedule. You will also have no complicated aftercare instructions to follow. You can simply care for the treated area the way you would normally care for your skin.
Enjoy Your Results
You will see the results from your Xeomin treatment right away.
In as few as 5 to 7 days, you can begin to see improvements in your frown lines. The full effects of your treatment will gradually appear over the next two weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions About Xeomin
How long will my results last?
Xeomin treatments are long-lasting, and you can enjoy your new, softened frown lines for up to 4 months, though the length of results vary from individual to individual. Xeomin touch-ups will be as fast, effective and long-lasting as your initial treatment.
How will Xeomin affect my facial expressions?
Your medical provider will administer Xeomin precisely to the muscles producing your frown lines, limiting the effects of the injectables to only the areas where you need it and minimizing the effects to the surrounding muscles. The precise application of the injectable means you can have all of the benefits with minimal risks. Your medical provider can also tailor the quantity of Xeomin applied to ensure your satisfaction. Xeomin results last around four months, which means you can adjust treatments to improve your results in just a few weeks if you seek greater improvements or prefer a more subtle change.
What are the risks?
All medical procedures have some risks. Xeomin's most common side effects include headache, dry mouth, injection-site sensitivity, tiredness or muscle weakness, neck pain and in rare cases vision problems, and you should contact your medical provider as soon as possible if you notice these problems. Allergic reactions are another common side effect. If you have allergy sensitivities, discuss this with your medical provider before having Xeomin.
Can anyone have a Xeomin treatment?
If you have certain pre-existing conditions, Xeomin may not be right for you. If you have any of the following medical symptoms, discuss them with your medical provider before your Xeomin treatment. Contraindications for Xeomin include diseases of the muscles such as Lou Gehrig's disease, previous negative side effects from botulin treatments, breathing problems such as asthma, issues with bleeding or swallowing, previous facial surgery and pregnancy, imminent pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Microneedling
Your path to beautiful skin: looking for a way to improve your wrinkles and fine lines without any down time? Micro-needling is a quick and virtually painless procedure that will give you smoother, firmer, and younger looking skin.
What is Microneedling?
For skin microneedling, we use the "Rejuvapen" electric skin needling device made especially for this purpose. The device is a pen shaped studded with 12 very fine needles. It is a medical device used in micro needling to break down old scar tissue and to stimulate skin cells to proliferate. This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibers as well as in new capillaries for an improved blood supply.
What Conditions Can Be Treated With Medical MicroNeedling?
Mild to Moderate Acne Scarring; Any New Or Old Scars
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Loose & Lax Skin
Skin Texture & Pore Size
Stretch Marks
Benefits of Microneedling
Dramatically increases the effectiveness and penetration of active ingredients in topical preparation
Stimulates circulation and collagen production
Medical grade titanium needles makes it non-allergenic to human tissue
Cost effective compared to other resurfacing procedures
Can be performed on all skin types, including ethnic skin
It can be used on all areas of the scalp, face, body including fragile skin like around eyes, mouth and neck
Frequently Asked Questions About Microneedling
How does Microneedling work?
The device slides along the skin, penetrating the upper layers of the skin to a depth of up to 2mm to create numerous tiny needle wounds. The procedure prompts the body to respond through the creation of new collagen and elastin fibers. In response to the stimulus, the skin plumps and thickens, reducing the appearance of scars, and fine lines and wrinkles.
What does the procedure involve?
The skin is cleaned and numbing cream may be applied to lessen discomfort. For optimal results we use a collagen-stimulating product like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin-C serum, skin lightener for pigmentation, or your own Growth Factor (aka PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma) during the procedure. A small handheld pen like device with a sterile, disposable tip with 12 tiny needles is then used to pierce the skin. Our needling pen's multi-speed and adjustable needle depth allow needles to pierce the skin's layer at 90 degrees and increase the absorption of products.
What will I look like after my treatment?
Most people will experience redness and mild swelling in a similar way as mild sunburn for 24-48 hours and there may be minimal pin-point bleeding and/or bruising. Within a week or two, you will notice that your skin is smoother and more radiant looking but the full effects won't be seen until a few months later.
What is the down time after MicroNeedling treatment?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish that may last for 12 to 48 hours. In order to reduce visible redness, we recommend hyaluronic acid after the procedure, and to protect the skin with zinc based sunblock. The use of mineral makeup is recommended after procedure.
Is MicroNeedling painful?
Prior to the treatment, numbing cream can be applied to minimize pain that is felt during the procedure.
Can MicroNeedling be performed on any skin color?
Medical Microneedling is safe to use on all skin types and all skin colors. There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
How many treatments do I need and how often can MicroNeedling procedures be repeated?
Microneedling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended. The number of treatments required will depend on how each individual responds to the treatments, and the extent of the damage at the beginning Microneedling can be used on all skin parts of the body (neck, décolleté, arms, legs, etc). Most people will begin to see results after the very first appointment.
Risks of post-op infections?
Since the tiny pricking channels close within one hour, and provided the procedure is done under clinical conditions, post-op infections are extremely unlikely.
What should I avoid on my skin after treatment?
To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days do not use AHA's (glycolic Acid), retinol, acidic or "active" ingredients. Exposure to sun should also be avoided or zinc based sunblock should be used.
What are the side effects of the MicroNeedling procedure?
There are virtually no negative side effects, and none have ever been reported in over 150,000 procedures performed worldwide.
How much does the treatment cost?
This is assessed during your complimentary consultation. Typically, treatments range from $350 – $750 per session, depending on the induction therapy. A treatment is mapped out for each client and the cost can be assessed at this time. This is based on a client's unique requirements and the result that is desired. MicroNeedling may be combined with other treatments as a package and the overall cost will be discussed during our complementary consultation.
Am I a Candidate for the Microneedling?
Medical micro-needling can be safely performed on all skin types and all skin colors. As the epidermis and in particular, melanocytes in the basal area are left intact. There is minimal risk of pigment change or post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. Skin micro-needling can treat sensitive and fragile areas that are difficult to treat with other procedures. These areas include the eyes, the neck and the back of the hands.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Facial Rejuvenation
Platelet rich plasma, or prp, is the single most natural method for facial rejuvenation in the aesthetic industry. Prp contains your body's own growth factors, or platelets, which instruct your body to create new collagen, thus, creating tighter, smoother, plumper skin, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.
What is PRP Skin Rejuvenation?
Platelets are the cells in the blood that help tissue to heal and grow new cells. The PRP, injected into specific areas of the skin, act as a matrix that promotes your own collagen to grow, regenerates tissue, and thus acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin. In this way, PRP softens wrinkles and creating smoother skin texture and tone.

Frequently Asked Questions About Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
How does PRP work?
PRP is an innovative therapy that is now gaining more popularity. The procedure entails drawing blood from a patient and then spinning it in a centrifuge machine. This generates a layer of concentrated platelets and growth factors, or stem cells, that help regenerate new collagen formation in areas where we have volume loss.
What does the procedure involve?
A small amount of blood will be drawn from you. While the PRP is being prepared in the centrifuge, your skin will be cleansed and prepared for the treatment. The injections take 30-40 minutes , and are only mildly uncomfortable. The procedure is relatively painless, and requires no post procedure care or time off from daily events. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising fade within 1-3 days. The PRP is made from your own cells, virtually eliminating the possibility of negative side effects.
What will I look like after my treatment?
Most people will experience mild redness or swelling lasting only 6-24 hours and there may be minimal pin-point bleeding and/or bruising. Within a week or two, you will notice that your skin is smoother and more radiant looking but the full effects won't be seen until a few months later.
What is the down time after PRP injections?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish that may last for 12 to 48 hours. In order to reduce visible redness, we recommend hyaluronic acid after the procedure, and to protect the skin with zinc based sunblock. The use of mineral makeup is recommended after procedure.
Are PRP injections painful?
Prior to the treatment, numbing cream can be applied, if necessary, to minimize any discomfort that is felt during the procedure.
Can PRP injections be performed on any skin color?
PRP injections are safe to use on all skin types and all skin colors. There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
How many treatments do I need and how often can PRP injections be repeated?
PRP injections are best performed once a month and a three treatment protocol is advised for optimal results.
Risks of post-op infections?
Since the tiny injection channels close within one hour, and provided the procedure is done under clinical conditions, post-op infections are extremely unlikely.
What should I avoid on my skin after treatment?
To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days do not use AHA's (glycolic Acid), retinol, acidic or "active" ingredients. Exposure to sun should also be avoided or zinc based sunblock should be used.
What are the side effects of the PRP injections?
There are virtually no negative side effects, and none have ever been reported in over 150,000 procedures performed worldwide.
How much does the treatment cost?
This is assessed during your complimentary consultation. Typically, treatments are $750 per session, depending on the induction therapy. A treatment is mapped out for each client and the cost can be assessed at this time. This is based on a client's unique requirements and the result that is desired. PRP injections may be combined with other treatments as a package and the overall cost will be discussed during our complementary consultation.
Am I a candidate for PRP Injections?
PRP injections can be safely performed on all skin types and all skin colors. As the epidermis and in particular, melanocytes in the basal area are left intact. There is minimal risk of pigment change or post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. PRP can treat sensitive and fragile areas that are difficult to treat with other procedures. These areas include the eyes, the neck and the back of the hands. However, it is not suitable for patients who:
Have a used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the last three months
Have open wounds, cuts or abrasions on the skin
Have had radiation treatment to the skin within the last year
Have any kind of current skin infection, systemic health condition, or herpes simplex in the area to be treated
Are pregnant or breast feeding
Have any history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing

Exilis Ultra 360: Skin Tightening / Fat Reduction
Facial and Body Skin Tightening Procedures
The latest weapon in our anti-aging and body-sculpting arsenal is Exilis Ultra, an FDA-approved technology that uses radio frequency waves and Ultrasound to simultaneously tighten skin and reduce fat. Heat from the radio frequency waves and Ultrasound both stimulate collagen for a tauter, smoother skin, and at the same time targets fat cells virtually anywhere on the body.
What can I expect from an Exilis treatment?
Exilis Ultra procedures are safe, fast, and pain-free.
During an Exilis session, you will feel a sensation of heat as the RF waves target your deep skin tissue to melt away fat cells, tighten the elastin fibers, and stimulate collagen production. The Exilis device has a built-in cooling mechanism that will keep this heat from becoming unbearable. Most patients find Exilis to be comfortable, with the heat sensation described as a "hot stone massage."
Exilis sessions generally take anywhere from fifteen to forty-five minutes
Depending on the areas to be treated. There is no recovery time necessary, so you can return to your everyday life immediately following a session. Multiple Exilis sessions are needed in order to achieve full results. The number of treatments will vary depending on the individual, but generally four to six treatments are recommended.
While multiple sessions are needed to see full results
These results are long-lasting. If you follow post-treatment instructions and lead a healthy lifestyle, Exilis results will last for years.
Exilis is extremely safe and has almost no side effects.
In some instances, a patient may experience some minor redness and irritation in the area which was treated which subsides with 1-2 hours. When performed by expertly trained technicians, side effects are very rare.
Sculpsure
What is SculpSure?
SculpSure is the first FDA-approved laser technology in the world for the effective treatment of unwanted fat on the flanks and abdomen. It is a cutting-edge laser treatment, which harnesses the power of controlled light-based technology to quickly and powerfully reduce stubborn body fat.
What to Expect During Your First SculpSure Treatment
When the treatment starts, initially you will feel a cooling sensation. This helps keep the skin comfortable during treatment. The cooling will be on the entire treatment, while the laser cycles on and off, raising the temperature of the fat cells. Most patients feel a deep warmth and/or tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated.
How Does SculpSure Work?
Target
Targeted laser energy heats fat cells under the skin without affecting the skin's surface.
Destroying Fat Cells
SculpSure raises the temperature of fat cells damaging their structural integrity.
Elimination
Over the next three months, the damaged fat cells are processed and eliminated by the body's lymphatic system.
Results
Fat cells are permanently removed and will not regenerate. Results can be seen as quickly as six weeks, and optimal results typically seen at 12 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions About SculpSure
What is SculpSure?
SculpSure is a non-invasive body contouring system for the reduction of stubborn fat in areas such as the belly, love handles, back, inner thighs and outer thighs. Each 25 minute procedure can destroy up to 24% of treated fat cells without surgery.
Is SculpSure right for me?
SculpSure is ideal for people with trouble spots, particularly those that seem resistant to diet and exercise.
How many treatments will I need?
Every patient is different. Your treatment provider will develop a customized treatment plan to meet your desired goals. Most patients see the best results when they treat multiple areas. Ask your treatment provider about the treatment plan that is right for you.
What should I expect during my treatment?
Most patients feel a tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated.
When will I see results?
Patients may start to see results as early as 6 weeks following treatment as the body begins to evacuate the destroyed fat cells, with optimal results usually seen at 12 weeks.
How long will results last?
Treated fat cells are destroyed during the treatment and will not regenerate.
How long before I can resume normal activities?
There is no downtime with SculpSure, so you can have the treatment during your lunch hour and return to work immediately.
What is the difference between fat loss and weight loss?
The number of fat cells stored in our bodies typically remain constant throughout adult life. As we lose weight, the size of fat cells become smaller, but do not decrease in number. Even with diet and exercise, many people have difficulty losing weight in these trouble areas. After the SculpSure treatment, the fat cells are permanently destroyed and will not return.
SculpSure vs. CoolSculpting
Sculpsure VS. Coolsculpting
SculpSure is superior to CoolSculpting with a more comfortable treatment in half the time. SculpSure's advanced body contouring technology is able to target and destroy fat cells in just 25 minutes without affecting the skin's surface. The damaged fat cells are naturally absorbed and removed from the body, with results seen in as quickly as six weeks, and optimal results typically seen at 12 weeks. info
Diamond Dermabrasion Vs. Crystal Dermabrasion
The crystal method works by an ablation process, which eliminates the dead skin cells with the use of heat and friction. This system is similar to sand blasting dead skin cells off your face. Diamond dermal infusion works by means of abrasion, a process by which the layers of dead skin cells are sanded away. Diamond wands are laser-cut for proper spacing and precision. Of the two, diamond dermal infusion is considered four times more powerful, gentler on the skin, and less risky. Both systems suction off the dead skin cells and other skin debris.
What to Expect
Each Dermalinfusion® treatment session takes an average of 20 minutes to complete. The number of treatments you need varies depending on your skin condition. Typically, patients go through 4-6 sessions spaced anywhere from 7-10 days apart. Most of our patients do not feel any pain and are completely relaxed during the whole procedure. There is absolutely zero downtime and you can return to your daily activities right after treatment. Most patients feel and see significant results after their Dermalinfusion® treatment. For optimal results and maintenance, we recommend using sunscreen, hydrating cream, serums, and moisturizers, which we will recommend for you.

Hair Restoration with PRP
What is Hair Restoration?
Hair loss in women and men can be a devastating phenomenon. When we begin to experience thinning hair, or when we start to lose our hair, we also suffer from a wide variety of negative emotional responses as well, such as self-consciousness or loss of confidence, which can affect our mood, our relationships and even our job performance. Many factors contribute to hair loss. These factors — such as aging, genetic factors and hormonal changes — can all lead to hair loss in both younger and older patients and make treating hair loss challenging. However, an effective and safe treatment that can help both men and women suffering from hair loss is platelet-rich plasma or PRP treatment.
How Does Hair Restoration with PRP Work?
Weakened hair production and hair loss are treatable. Whether you are experiencing areas of slowed hair growth with thinner and fewer hair follicles or areas with hair loss where hair follicles no longer appear, PRP treatment can help you. PRP utilizes growth factors in your own blood — platelet-rich plasma — which studies have demonstrated can stimulate existing hair follicles and encourage the growth of new ones.
What Results Will I Have After Hair Restoration?
After you have received your PRP treatment, your body will respond with improved hair growth and new hair generation. Hair growth is not a rapid process, so it will take several months for visible results to appear. Most patients notice improvements in the treated areas as soon as six months after their PRP treatment. Full results of PRP appear for most patients after 12 months. Your results will include thicker, existing hair follicles as well as new follicle growth in previously bald areas. Most patients continue to experience improvements after 12 months following their PRP treatments.
What to Expect During Your PRP Hair Restoration Treatment?
You can have a PRP hair restoration in your medical provider's office as a quick
Outpatient procedure after having had a prior full, in-person examination and consultation. On the day of your treatment, our licensed medical staff will draw your blood and centrifuge it to separate the platelets and plasma - which will be used for your hair restoration - from other blood cells. Your medical provider will verify the concentration of platelets and plasma necessary is present to administer to you.
You will receive the PRP as injections to the scalp which will be first cleansed with an antiseptic.
The very small, hair-like needles will produce virtually no pain as PRP is administered. After you have received your injections, your PRP treatment will be complete, and your results will appear over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do results from PRP last?
Results of any medical procedure will vary from individual to individual as many variables will affect the outcome of a procedure. Most PRP patients, however, experience long-lasting results in excess of 18 months and as long as 24 months in some cases.
Am I a candidate for hair restoration?
If you are experiencing thinning hair, fewer active hair follicles and areas of baldness, you are likely a candidate for a PRP hair restoration treatment. Schedule an in-person consultation with New Skin & Body to verify this. Your provider will study your medical history and diagnose the cause of your hair thinning or hair loss. Once diagnosed, the proper treatment can be identified, which may be PRP. Patients with certain blood conditions may not have PRP treatments, so discuss this issue during your initial consultation. Also, if you are currently experiencing severe depletion of hair follicles in your concerned areas, you may benefit more from alternative treatments.
What is recovery like from PRP?
There is minimal to no recovery after a PRP treatment. A few patients will experience mild redness or swelling in the treatment are, however, many do not. You may wash your hair and scalp a few hours after treatment and resume all your regular exercise routines the next day. If you take Minoxidil or other hair treatments, you may resume those the next day as well. For the first 72 hours, hair coloring or other harsh treatments should be avoided, however.
Is PRP safe?
PRP uses nourishing platelets found in your own body in your blood. These platelets are drawn with your blood using sterile instruments and medical best practices to ensure their purity throughout your treatment before being returned to your body. As a result, a PRP treatment has much lower risks when compared with other cosmetic treatments and patients tolerate PRP very well.
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients typically need between four and six sessions of PRP to obtain the visible difference in the hair quality and volume they desire. These sessions will be spaced approximately three to five weeks apart. Follow-up sessions can be scheduled as needed about 12 to 18 months after your final treatment or as needed.
What is the cost?
The average cost for a single session of PRP for hair restoration is approximately $775. Package pricing is available, however, which will reduce your per session rate. Your provider will go over your course of treatment, rates and available payment options with you during your free consultation.
Laser Hair Removal
Frequently Asked Questions About Laser Hair Removal
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
Laser hair removal uses the power of a concentrated laser beam that passes through the skin, targeting hair follicles. The pigment within the hair follicle absorbs the light, which causes damage to those follicles. This process slows hair growth, and prevents hair from growing back in the treated areas. The laser will only target the hair follicles, and does not cause damage to your skin. To protect your skin and minimize any discomfort, we use a high-powered cooling device, called a Zimmer, which provides concentrated cold air which helps our clients sustain a reasonable comfort level throughout the treatment. Our Laser device also treats numerous hair follicles at once, which significantly reduces your total treatment time. Although you should avoid sun exposure to the treated areas, there is typically no downtime associated with the procedure.
How Many Treatments are Needed to See Results?
After your first treatment, you can expect a noticeable reduction in the amount of hair. You will likely need six – eight treatments before you experience permanent results. Because hair growth occurs in several stages, the laser light beam only targets the ANAGEN stage, or the "growing stage", which is why it's important to have several treatments to ensure complete hair removal. Your treatments will be spaced at least 4 – 6 weeks apart, depending on the area being treated.
What are the Advantages of Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal has longer-lasting results than other temporary hair removal methods such as waxing, shaving, electrolysis, threading, tweezing or plucking. The laser uses a wide tip that treats many hairs at once instead of treating hair-by-hair like tweezing, plucking or electrolysis. Large areas, such as the back or legs, can be treated in a very short period of time. This hair removal treatment is a safe, fast, gentle and effective method for permanent hair reduction.
Important Things You Should Know Before Having Laser Hair Removal
If you are planning on undergoing Laser Hair Removal, you should limit plucking, waxing, threading and electrolysis for six weeks before treatment and also during to course of your treatment. You should also avoid sun exposure for six week before and after treatment, as sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications after treatment more likely. Immediately following Laser Hair Removal, it's important to use a minimum 30 SPF sun block to any of the exposed treated areas for several weeks after.
Laser Vein Removal
Spider veins
Also known medically as telangiectasia or venulectasias, are tiny red, blue or purple thread-like veins near the surface of the skin that often take on the appearance of a spider's web. These perpetually dilated and visible veins, caused by increased pressure to the veins, can develop on any part of the body, including the face, but most often appear on the thighs, calves, ankles or buttocks. The gold standard treatment for spider veins is laser therapy. Here are some frequently asked questions about our laser vein procedure.
About Laser Treatment for Spider Veins
What Happens During Laser Therapy?
Laser vein treatment, which is done in a doctor's office or clinic, usually takes less than an hour. The procedure uses a focused beam of light to target the vein that is selected for treatment, and because the beam is focused it is careful not to affect nearby skin, tissue and veins. As the laser heats up the vein is destroyed, then, over a period of four to six weeks, the vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears.
What type of laser is used to treat spider veins?
The most common laser used to treat spider veins is the Nd: YAG laser system. It is a hand-held device and also has a cooling tip to minimize discomfort during the therapy.
How does the laser work?
The Nd: YAG laser pierces the skin and penetrates the superficial blood vessel. The heat generated from the laser coagulates the blood inside the vessel, causing it to collapse and seal. Over the next few weeks, the vessel will disappear and all the blood will be removed by the body's scavenging cells. The newer laser treatments allow the delivery of a precise dosage of energy to each blood vessel without injuring any nearby structures.
Is laser therapy painful?
During treatment you may feel a snapping and tingling sensation as the laser fires. Our laser has a built-in cooling system that prevents the tip of the laser from getting too hot and resulting in burns or damage to the area.
What preparations should I take before treatment?
There are no major preparations required before the laser treatment, but you will want to avoid sun exposure, aspirin, alcohol and smoking for at least a week prior to the procedure. As for the day of treatment, avoid all creams, lotions and moisturizers on the area that is going to be treated. Also, wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the body part(s) being treated.
How do I know if I am a candidate for laser vein treatment?
All individuals are evaluated prior to laser therapy. Spider veins do not cause symptoms and are of a cosmetic concern only. For those who have symptoms, further investigation is done to ensure that they do not have varicose veins. Laser therapy is most effective for the very small spider veins and not used to treat large varicose veins.
What is the time between treatments?
It is generally recommended that the treatments be spaced four to six weeks apart. If new veins appear, additional treatments are required for optimum results.
What are side effects of laser therapy?
The skin above the veins will have a reddish, cat-scratch appearance. This generally disappears over the next two days.
What are potential complications of laser therapy?
The risks associated with laser vein therapy are minimal. Your eyes will be shielded during the treatments. We use a built in topical cooling system for optimal comfort.
How many treatments are needed?
Depending on the size and number of veins, two to six treatments will be needed. The treatments are usually done 4-6 weeks apart. Those with a tendency towards vascular problems will most likely require additional treatments.
Is laser treatment for spider veins curative?
There is no cure for spider veins. Although treatment does not prevent the development of new spider veins, the removal of existing veins can dramatically improve the appearance of the affected area, providing a more youthful, healthy look and an even color pattern to the skin. Spider veins can be recurrent and thus, more treatments will be required in the future.
What other conditions does laser treat?
In addition to the leg spider veins, the laser can provide non-invasive skin treatments for the face. It is also used to remove unwanted hair even from patients who are normally not always good candidates for laser hair removal, such as those with darker or tanned skin.
What is the cost of spider vein removal with laser?
Spider veins are only of cosmetic nuisance and not covered by medical insurance or Medicare. The average cost for laser therapy may vary from $200 – $400 per session. This will be discussed during your free consultation.
After Vein Removal Treatment
What to expect after laser therapy?
Soon after the procedure, you may feel a slight bump on the skin; it should disappear hours after treatment. The area may also appear slightly redder and occasionally may be bruised.
Are there any precautions after laser therapy?
After laser therapy, it is strongly recommended that one keep away from the sun. Healing can be facilitated by wearing support hose. The pain is minimal and one may take any over the counter pain medications. After treatment, there is no downtime. You can resume all of your normal activities immediately afterward.
When can you go back to work after laser therapy?
Patients are encouraged to resume all normal activities immediately. Final results may not be apparent for several months. Most patients are satisfied by the results in a very short time.
How long does it take for the results to become evident?
The results of laser treatment for spider veins are not immediate. After the laser therapy, the vessels underneath the skin will gradually change from a dark blue to light red color, then eventually disappearing in two to six weeks. Most patients report a high degree of satisfaction with the procedure and relief at no longer having to hide unsightly veins. The treated areas are noticeably clearer and in most cases the skin continues to improve with each successive treatment. The majority of spider veins will disappear within two to four weeks, and in some cases even longer.
Laser Versus Other Treatments
What are other methods of treating spider veins?
The most conservative approach for treating spider veins is to wear properly fitting support hose (also called compression stockings).
These stockings can generally be purchased at any pharmacy and come in various styles and colors. The stockings may be worn below or above the knee. They also come in different compressions varying from 18 to 20 mmHg and up to 40 to 50 mmHg.
Unfortunately, once the spider veins have developed
They do not disappear even with wearing stockings.Other conservative treatment approaches include losing weight if you are overweight, exercising regularly (especially walking), avoiding prolonged periods of sitting or standing, and elevating your legs while sitting and sleeping. For those who tend to stand up for prolonged periods, time outs should be taken to rest the feet.
other treatments may be offered, depending on your overall medical condition. Depending on the size and location of the veins, other treatment techniques include
Other treatments may be offered, depending on your overall medical condition. Depending on the size and location of the veins, other treatment techniques include.
Sclerotherapy
This procedure involves the injection of a liquid or foam chemical directly into the vein with a small needle.
The chemical, called a sclerosant, irritates the veins and causes it to collapse. Over time, the vein turns into scar tissue that fades away. The procedure is usually done in a clinic, is relatively inexpensive, and has little downtime. Most individuals require a couple of sessions to treat all the spider veins. Side effects of sclerotherapy may include slight swelling, bruising, and redness and itching at injection sites. If the solution leaks out of the vein, pain and darkening of the skin occurs.
When compared to sclerotherapy
The technique of shutting down the veins with injections, laser spider vein treatment is much faster, much more effective and much more cost-effective. With laser treatment for spider veins, leg veins often are completely removed after 2-4 sessions.
Intense Light Therapy
This newer technique of treating spider veins uses intense pulsed light that can be used to selectively damage or destroy abnormal veins including small spider veins and small vascular birthmarks.
Unlike laser, the intense light therapy is more suited for vascular lesions slightly deeper in the skin. This treatment may be recommended when sclerotherapy or laser therapy does not effectively treat the superficial vein. Two to four treatments may be required depending on the number and size of the lesions.
Surgical Ligation / Stripping
Spider veins are almost never treated with surger
Surgery is only reserved for the large varicose veins.
What Are Advantages of Laser Over Sclerotherapy?
It has much fewer side effects
It is less traumatic to the surrounding skin compared to sclerotherapy
It takes a much shorter time to complete laser treatment
It is less painful than sclerotherapy
Recovery is immediate
Downtime is almost zero
Laser therapy can even be used on the face
What Are Disadvantages of Laser Over Sclerotherapy?
Laser can not be used for more deeper veins
Laser is slightly more expensive than sclerotherapy
Laser Nail Fungus Removal
Nail fungus (Onychomycosis) is a fungal infection affecting the nail and nail bed.
This type of fungal infection is different from athlete's foot or skin fungus in which the fungus infects the skin on the feet especially between the toes. About half of the nail disorders and nail abnormalities occur as a result of a fungal infection.
Nail infections are usually very persistent and the treatment is complicated.
In addition, Toenail Fungus and Fingernail Fungus infections may cause embarrassment because of the deformed and ugly nails. Toenail Fungus signs include a thickened nail plate or nail bed, yellow discoloration of the nails, foot pain and bad foot odor caused by the fungal debris under the nail. The nails often become thick and fragile and can detach from the nail bed or the skin under the nail.
Nail fungus usually starts at the distal end of the fingernail or toenail.
The infection then spreads to the proximal end of the nail towards the nail bed. Finally, the fungal infection spreads to other toenails, but rarely infects all of them. Candida and Dermatophytes are the most common fungi causing nail infections. But mostly, the combination of fungi and a moist environment can speed up the fungus growth. Individuals with weak immune systems, such as diabetic patients and elderly people, are more susceptible to toenail fungus.
The Laser Treatment
Lasers are a safe and effective treatment for nail fungus, or Onychomycosis.
The Laser penetrates inside the nail where the nail fungus (dermatophytes) reside
Killing the fungus instantly.
The laser light passes right through the tough nail plate killing the fungus
With minimal pain and no damage to the surrounding tissues.
The laser procedure is preformed right in our office by our highly skilled medical staff and usually takes 20-30 minutes.
The treatment does NOT require any form of anesthesia and there is minimal to no pain experienced.
Most patients will feel some heat generated by the laser
Which is our primary objective. No pain medication is required after the procedure and you can go right back to work or any activity immediately afterwards.
Depending on the severity of your fungal infection
You may require up to three laser treatments for nail fungus removal. The second treatment is performed one to two months after the first, and the next treatment is performed one to two months later. Our medical professionals will assess the severity of your fungal infection during your consultation and provide you with the best treatment options based on your individual needs.
The reality is, you may not see results right away and laser treatments will not change your existing nails.
As the new nail grows in, it shows signs of clearing from the bottom of the nail as it grows. This usually takes 6-12 months depending on how fast your individual nails grow.
What to Expect After Your Nail Fungus Laser Treatment
To help prevent re-infection:
Wear clean shoes / socks home after treatment
Wash sheets, disinfect shower / bath and vacuum carpets on the day of treatment.
Apply anti-fungal cream 2X per day for approximately 2 weeks to 3+ months depending severity of the infection
Apply anti-fungal powder to all shoes at least 1x per week for at least 1+ month
Keep nails trimmed and cleaned (disinfecting instruments after each use)
Do not walk barefoot in public places (pool, gym, etc.)
Nail polish may be applied 24 hours after treatment
Number of treatments will depend on severity of the Onychomycosis / Toenail Fungus
The average time interval between treatments is 4-6 weeks
Due to slow nail growth, results may not be noticeable for 3+ months
Toenails may take 9-12+ months and fingernails may take 6-9+ months to grow out
Severely infected nails may take longer
Cold gel packs or cool compresses may be applied post-treatment on hot spots
